Thumbs up Re: From the Desk of the Developers discussion

What an excellent explanation! I think the issues covered, with a bit of background on each issue, hit just the right tone.

    Very nicely done.

Thanks for the update Amarië. None of those issiues are very pressing for me, as I'm all grown up again and in possesion of a nice lair (lucky I guess), and I'm shunning Vista like the plague, but I know there's plenty of ol' Unityers itching to get back flappin', and even more waiting hopefully to get their claws on a lair (or hands on a plot). (to that end, may I suggest reducing the amount / removing guild plots - I've seen too many places where 5-6 good lairs are being held up by the one controlling one being taken by some long gone player...)

Happy Hollidays - remember to take a few days off; we'll survive...

Thank you for the update - exactly what was needed.

A question regarding the test transfers: Will those who volunteer for that still be able to get transferred to Order or Chaos when the testing is complete? I can't see why not, but you know what they say about assumption.

Oh, and happy Gnomekindle to you too

    Better.

Just curious, you're a new face around here. Would you be the oh-so-elusive Community Manager person Horizons has been needing since, like, forever?

If so, can we expect this to be a regular staple of communication effort, rather than a one-off?

Fantastic update, if we can keep getting regular ones like this, even if its only tiny tiny steps on from each one, it would be great. I'm eagerly awaiting the return of my Unity char and (as I think a lot are), I was started to lose hope, but this has helped rekindle that. Don't let me down or there will be a big green dragon down to your offices and she WON'T be happy

I wonder if the introduction of the unity chars to the US servers would be for all chars that have been made or only for those that sign up on a pre-made list (like EI did).

    1) I volounteer for every experiment you need to do to transfer unity!

    2) This newsletter or whatever it is rocks.

I posted it in the WoW forums in order for those lazy communications of theirs to learn how to feedback to players.

About the volounteering for the Unity import, I really hope to be able to help.

I am programmer IRL C++ and more, have done 3D modelling (so I can catch strange glitches etc.), WEB designer (PHP) and in the past collaborated with one of your programmers to fix database incongruencies about dragons skills / spells.
