Large Presents and Ornament cost

Is there some advantage or "gift" that is exclusive to Large Presents?

Reason I ask is:

1 Large present = 3 "gifts" = 70 ornaments

3 Small presents = 3 "gifts" = 60 ornaments

Are we just wasting 10 ornaments to buy 1 Large present versus buying 3 small presents or is there a chance to get something in large presents, that's excluded from the small/medium presents?

A large present would make sense if there were 4 items in the present, or if the cost of the medium/large presents were less than the cost of multiples of the small present.

I think the chance to get a better prezzie ie, a small sock or a shoulder buddy is higher from the large prezzie.

The best i've got from small prezzie's are construction materials.

i got a medium purple present, and it gave me really useful armor and weapon crystals.

I've gotten a few presents thus far, 1 medium, 3 smalls. While they weren't really of use to me, they did end up going to people who were needing them badly.
