Porting Slowness

I am back in the game now after a long absence and don't remember it taking so long to port between towns. Any settings or changes recommended to help speed up this activity?

i know that when i clear the world cache, first ports to an area take a little longer.
other than that, i'm really clueless about it.

Does this option go on the command line when the game is launched or is it an option in the game config or ini file?

you can type it in a chat line and have it take effect. i do not know about the game config or ini files.

easiest to type it ingame .. it will update your preferences to take effect each time thereafter
