I had the chance to see the corn north of Dalimond last night. It rather took me as a shock to see it. The first words out of my mouth were, "WHAT is THAT?" It looked like some sort of high-stalked lilly. Is there a way to narrow the tassles so they don't look like broad leaves?

the radiant azulyte looks so perrttyyO.O*stares with swiling eyes*, i wonder what other things there gona add??? more food!!! im hungry now>.>
havent checked recently, but have the pear trees been fixed? Last I recall it was just the alpha was not set correctly on some of the planes resulting in black squares.
*edit* Could also be a lod issue specific to certain textures. Also, the pear tree still has the same issue, at least on my system.

I'm glad the peas came out well.
C`Gan: What's wrong currently with the corn? I'm working on that one right now, and I'm curious what you think.
Personally, I think it's coming out okay. And I do have lots of reference material around me ((after all, I live in Iowa.. ))
EDIT: We are talking about "wild" Corn.. not the "feed" corn neatly planted in rows and sprayed with chemicals that you see everywhere..

re-skinning snowflakes... hmm...
How about coming up with seasonal textures for trees and ground so that the seasons in game change too?
Exploring is a necessary skill, and its not like death is fatal. At least, not for the gifted.
If only that were possible, but it is not with the current tech. How about coming up with seasonal textures for trees and ground so that the seasons in game change too?

Not even just a seasonal download of the alternate textures? Four master folders of artwork... one for spring in Istaria, summer, fall, and winter. The ground would probably have snow, spring, and summer/fall, trees would have spring/summer, fall, and winter foliage differences (no leaves on non-evergreens for instance). Buildings likely wouldn't be changed at all.

It would require at least a partial rewrite of the resource manager client side or a re-standardization of file names to include seasonal information (and the creation of a ton of defs), plus changes to the server to communicate what season should be displayed, and a whole boatload of new art and model assets.
definately pony list material
What I think Oakleif means would be a massive down load at the beginning of each "season" that over write the current textures. The problem i see is those with slow connections having to redownload every texture in the game. Even those with fast connections might hate it.
Aye, like the seasonal mod Mercurus put together this winter.
btw: Steele was playing a joke on me because of the weather we've been having here in Iowa lately. It's been one of the worst winters we've had in ages. And yes, if we get more snow dumped on us, I will probably go insane.

Roar.. Hi heres a few more pics..
Still no Idea where the StoneRoots are ..
SkSlyr, where are you finding that stuff? I've looked all over Dalimon and can't find that garlic anywhere. From your pictures, the garlic looks just like the onions. Is it mixed in with the potatoes and onions?
Do you think you could give me the cords for the garlic, quinoa and fennel? I'll love you forever if you do
Well, over here in Indiana, the tassels can be numerous, but they never get floral thick. Thanks, SkSlyr for posting the picture. Also, can the color be a bit more yellowed on the tassels?Originally Posted by Menkure

A small suggestion for graphical consistancy: scale the onions up to a setscale equivalent of 1.2 and scale down the carrots to a setscale equivalent of .2 or .3
The current onions are itty bitty while the green tops of the carrots come up to my character's thigh and are bigger around than my boot.

Thanks so much Velveeta That's a pretty obscure little spot. No wonder Tyroth and I had such a hard time finding it.
