What purpose have Withered Charms ever played?
I currently have

• Withered Charm
• Withered Charm of Power
• Withered Charm of Skill
• Withered Charm of Mastery

Of are 0 bulk with no apparent use or reason for being.

Anyone in Vi want to give it a shot at what these things exist for?
Are they something that was being worked on but not completed before the Tulga buyout?

PBs take them but you need I think 5 to get 1 copper! I sold a few the other day!

It would seem that someone, even if only a Dev, would know what these were originally intended for.

nope i use em!! they go all sparkly as they explode and you get to have a great stress relieving roar!!!!


then the seeping wounds start leaking hp for 20 secs, and i am glad i did it while crafting and not in battle.....

None of the Withered Charms that I have have a 'Use' function.
Are you sure that you are using Withered Charm?

Once again, I'm not sure if we are talking about the same thing. None of the 4 types of Withered Charms that are in my inventory have a 'Use' function. How can they kill you if you can't 'Use' them? How is the exploding?

T1 undeads on the mountain east of Pars.

It was part of the T1 revamp that was started before EI, then got shelved once the debacle happened. They were intended for new quests, but right now the charms don't have any use. Amon posted about it somewhere, can't remember where exactly.

These were actually put in place in 2006 just before the buyout. Misanthrope was working on a revamp of the LA Deadlands and he put some new mobs into place. It was never finished.

Are you sure you're not referring to this response to my question about the KeyMaster?

My second post to this thread asks, "Are they something that was being worked on but not completed before the Tulga buyout?", but no answer on that.

I did a search of the forums before post this, but came up empty on any mention of Withered Charms.
