Wine/Crossover

I was wondering if anyone has experience with either Wine or Crossover. I have just downloaded the Crossover (Wine for OSX) trial version and got a few programs to run straight off my windows partition, but unfortunately, Horizons was not one of them. anyone got any useful knowledge here?

1. Set Wine to 'emulate' (yes, I know, Wine Is Not an Emulator) win98.

2. You'll have to launch using an alternative method. I edit my Clientprefs_launch.def file and run horizons.exe. (You can get the login parameters you need by viewing the source of the web page that has the "Play Istaria" button.)

3. Sometimes the client crashes when opening the 3d window on the first try. I don't know why. Immediately try logging in again.

4. Don't bother with horizonslauncher.exe.

well, i've allways played on my mac, just under windows >.> now it seems as if i can do it under OSX as well
