eep! i'm late! *scurries around, gathering assorted items*
*takes a giant lobster claw, a tinkering hinge and a grass beetle carapace and affixes the claw on the edge of the carapace with her tinkering spanner*
*applies several evenly spaced tinkering struts to the far edge of the carapace*
*deftly ties several strands of ironsilk fishing line in parallel from the lobster claw to the struts*
*secures a steel salvage awl with another hinge on the edge of the carapace, just past the last strut*
*raises the awl and wedges it in place to brace the claw up from the carapace*
*tests the tautness of the strings. various tones sound, two of them almost sounding like they don't clash*
*nods in satisfaction, lays the awl down within the carapace, and similarly lays the claw within the carapace*
*uses strips of fabric made from special thread to tie a bow around the device*
*presents it to justa mirage*

sorry i'm late, but hope your birthday was happy and that as chaos herald you can make use of this in telling your stories - i've heard music can add lots of emphasis and i made it easily stowable so you can take it with you wherever you go :-)
