Thread: Skill Point Question

    Default Skill Point Question

Okay I have a base 200 and a current 244 skill level in Augmentation.
I am trying to scribe raise armor 2 that needs a augmentation skill of 220,
however it says requirements not meant.

I take it that it only goes off of the base skill level?

I spent extra training points to raise my aug thinking I could scribe and use the spell, so whats the point in spending my training points in aug if I cannot benefit from it? Or is this a bug and I should be able to scribe the spell?

Level requirement is 22 and I am level 62

    Requirements are:
    Augumentation (220)
    Current adventure level (22)

    Training points raise base skill.

Oh, okay so the training points raised it to 200 then, but still my current is 244. Where do the extra 44 come from? Equipment?

So the ability to use and scribe the spell would need to be 220 aug base?
Then the current level is irrelevant?

Form scribing requires base, current is from gear and stats and such.

No there is a check for current class current lvl and base skill

the difference between base and current comes from
1.stat boost off skill including beneficiel spells cast and stat boost from equiment
    2. boost from teched equiment

So in order to scribe the spell you need to be in a class that can scribe the spell have the right lvl and base skill high enough

so in this case active lvl 22 in one off the classes mentioned here think thats all adventure classes in this case, you also need base Augmentation (220)

Okay so I need to switch back to cleric for 2 levels to get the base 220, then I should be able to use it.

Thanks for explaining it to me

Then do machines increase base skill? Because using a machine lets you scribe forms sooner.

Ah. Yes, spells require base, I guess I missed that from the OP... or Deth confused me by saying forms.
