I'm going to make a correction from when I said alpha rolling a puppy was a good idea: it isn't. I've been reading more about this and apparently alpha rolling is like a death threat to a dog, which can create a nervous and timid animal. The only instance where you would use this method is if the dog was acting very aggressively, and not fear-based aggressiveness either. Even then, both of you could get hurt.

So if any lurkers currently have a puppy or are planning on getting one, don't do this. Positive reinforcement wins above all else.

My sympathies Tcei althow i do not know first hand how it feels to loos a 4 leged friend i do know the void will not be filled but it can be seald when the time is right get another puppy and keep it away from dirt and dog parks till its about 2 years old


That way you can bypass the Parvo stage and Vally Fever but be ward Vally can be contracted at any age as i just learned with my buddy
