    Yeah idiots!!!1! :P

    Simply follow these simple instructions

PLEASE NOTE THAT ISTARIA IS NOT OFFICIALLY SUPPORTED UNDER VISTA AND THE INFORMATION BELOW HAS BEEN SUBMITTED BY FELLOW PLAYERS

If you have suggestions or changes, please contact support with a reference to this article.
    1) Disable UAC In Msconfig in tools tab
    2) add https://horizons.istaria.com, https://play.istaria.com/, http://patch.istaria.com, https://patch.istaria.com and http://www.istaria.com to trusted sites list in tools tabs.
    3) Set trusted site security to low and other security to medium
    4) delete your temperary internet files in tools tab
    5) reboot.
    6) goto http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.php?p=733941 and follow those instructions

    7) One thing it doesn't say to do is when you rename stick them both in the same folder then shift + right click the folder the 2 files are inside and click on open command prompt. Then execute each
one of the steps, install, then repeat. Once all steps are complete where it says run netfx.msi just do a search for it in the search box. hit search computer. then just click on it twice when it shows up in search box. it will install. then you reboot again.

The problem is with Microsoft .Net 1.1 sp1 and .Net 1.1 Distribute not being compatable independantly, but this technique integrates them and makes them vista compatable which handles the problem with the errors when trying to login.
    WTF?

I've ranted on this before (the last time I thought to check whether Vista was supported) so I won't go on at length... This situation becomes more dire by the day! Are you waiting for the release of the new Vista skin Windows 7 in 2010 before taking the major step of re-compiling?

    Alger.
