Graphs wont load in right ?

GRAPHICEs wont load in right ?

I notice last night the the tree laves and the picer on the dragon disk’s are . umm Blery . very blurry on the disk . .. and a few other thing wont lond in right or some thing .. .. and I have all the G-seting on hie . it wasent all way like this a few weeks ago or soo every thing was working Good . I can see the picer on the disk and heh count the leves on a tree . now I cant see the picer nor the leves ?? but I didn’t change any g-setings ?? ..

I have a Radeon 9600 and I was massing aroung in the g-crad settings stuff but that didn’t do any thing : ( I every re-set the game settings and cleard out the world folers : (. I don’t know what to do ….. the last thing is update the g-card drivers but …. That a BIG pine in the .. well … any one with a ATI g0crad whold know .. last time I did that I all most killed me pc. : P ..

Does any one know what elc I can do to get back the settings I had ??

did you go overboard with /setscale or something?

ah, i was thinking that was your dragon head, not khutit, silly me. i don't know the first thing about settings, but sometimes it takes a few minutes for the details to load on my system. good luck sorting it out!

Did you went on blight? Since I was there I have the same problem.

Try clearing your world cache and see if it all reloads properly? That's really weird. (I used to have this problems with dragon models, until I downloaded a user-made fix for it. It wouldn't get better unless I sat still for a few minutes)

Then you have the same washy texture problem like me, since I was on blight and went back to the live shards I have the texture problem, I have no clue what file causes this because it patched back normally to the live client. <_>

hmm well . .. does any one know that file that made this happen ?? . . seems like now 2 players have the same problem ??? .. (( and now me map is broke going to fix that now )) ...

Are you sure you're using the Blight client when in Blight? (I think there are two clients..? I haven't tried Blight yet) If you're switching between Blight and the Live shards, you might need to be clearing your cache each time. =/ I'm not exactly sure, I haven't tried playing with it yet.

It is not the cache ( i hate this word, it is silly to write! D: ), I cleared mine and still have blurry textures, it has to do with a changed gamefile that don't changes back after you where on blight.

I doubt that a meant will fix this, i bet it is a needed to change texture files or the resolution or whatever.

hmm i was diging thew the Hr folder and i foen that i have 2 textures folers one coalled textures and the other called textures_agh .. ??? i looked thew the Agh one ... and it kian the same as the other but the other has more in it than the Agh . but the Agh one has ... a file called spikes_tassels in the attach folerd ?? .. but any way i dont know if this is the one thats make the texers .. blreew out or not ???? dont know if i shold re0move the textures_agh file and see what happens ???? heh dont whant to kill the game and have to start over ??

Um I got the bug and managed to fix it by playing around in the Clientprefs_graphics.def file...

But will now need to relog to blight to get the bug again to see what causes it as I just went crazy making changes in the file hehe >_>

I know it has something to do with the LoD lines though....

Ok And the answer is;

When you switch to blight and then switch back it modifies the following lines in your ..\horizons\prefs\ClientPrefd_Graphis.def file

int aghGlobalTextureReduction = 0
int aghCharacterTextureReduction = 0
float aghTextureReductionMult = 0

after logging to and from blight they get set to

int aghGlobalTextureReduction = 2
int aghCharacterTextureReduction = 3
float aghTextureReductionMult = 5

Set those lines back to 0 to fix the texture... might want to bug this in the bugs forum... having the client force your setting is kinda annoying.. when.. it's just your own settings you want to change... I want to be able to set (dont know if 0 was the original setting.. but it worked for me O.o)

bool charTextureLODenabled = true
and
bool charLODEnabled = true
and
bool lodEnabled = true

to false and have it effect the client by turning off the lod... if it makes my system blow up... well I set the settings! Or maybe being able to set...

float charTextureLODdist = 10

out there to a point the other characters are small enough you dont notice the LoD ramp up. Many people have the systems that can handle it let us push our own limits with texture quality and distance they load by! XD
