Other types of protection potions.

Greetings Istarians,
Not sure if they have been suggested yet or not, but what would folks think of other types of protection potions, such as flame, ice, etc. I only know of blight protection potions myself. I know some of you will say there are spells for that, but aren't there also spells for blight ward and blight resistance? Just food for thought, so eat up!

I have often thought of this...yes, an excellent idea. Would definately be of interest to those that have not taken up the school where they would be able to cast those similiar defense buffs and maybe even give Alchemists something to sell.

Wouldn't mind seeing some Blighted <Tier> Wisps either...it's a major bugger getting enough blighted essence to make a decent amount of blight protection formula...probably why I don't think I've ever seen it in a consigner and have never sold it when I have made it.

On Blight there is a form for Imbued Essence orbs of all or almost all the magic types. These would make a great base for new protection potions.

I would love to see a total alchemy revamp akin to the conf revamp with new ingredients and potions. It would be much smaller than redoing confectioner, at least, hehe.

I thought I read somewhere that the new beetles would spew acid... are there acid protection potions going to be available?

So the Brachina beetles' acid breath attack wouldn't do acid damage?

Well, I guess that even so, if it's only a single type of attack it probably wouldn't be worth having resistance to it.

No, it doesn't do acid damage.

The damage types are already fixed in the game except for one special new one that will be coming out, but its special as in no new weapons will be able to do it and no enemy attacks will do it back.
