Salt rocks... was the bane of my life. 1st time I saw the salt field in AI I ran away screaming.
If only it had been hoardable, 250k would have been easy to get. hehe

    A real old timer is:

Running all over to find the player cities so you could attune and Bristugo was a town with no one in it but a trainer that would add points to focus. I recall saying "what a waste of a town (wasn't even called Bristugo back then) that it only has one person in it.

Remembers the 25,50,75 (tier 1 - 3) skill penalties for adding techs (since has been reduced to 10,20,30... and later 40,50)

When Bronze golems were 30th level and parked outside Tazoon, along with spiders of the same level.

Playing "dodge the dark stalker" when gathering oak.

Seeing "Shard is full" when going to log in.

Collecting Elm in the middle of Lesser Aradoth and killing the spiders.

When Treants never existed, they were added later, forests were guarded by spiders and wolves and undead (oh my). The only "treant" was the wood golems (which still exist near South March)

A real oldtimer collected maggot hides off the hillside between Dalimond and Bristugo.
A real oldtimer remembers Bristugo as little more than a single building off to the side of the road, notable only by the roadsign.

A real oldtimer dug up slate on top of the Kion volcano - dodging golems keepers while doing so.

Many great memories here . Among other things, I remember killing countless maggots near Dalimond. I also remember watching the complete destruction of Istaria the day before the server merge. (That was both awesome and sad).
