looks like an artistic view of a phage vector (virus) attacking a bacteria to me. At least it looks like the illustrations I've been given at school

okay here's the deal -
been trying to solve this lil gem for weeks and i am too noobish to figure it out.
i know you all are so way smarter than me and will be able to help me gather the tattered remains of my remaining sanity!!
the gig:
you have 17 red pieces
12 blue
15 green
8 purple
12 grey
for a total of 64.
the board has 64 spaces on it.
you have to place the pieces on the board in such a way that each subsection is connected on at least 2 sides by the same color pieces.
please please pleas!!!! help your queen before her brain explodes!

i have been informed that i was not clear in my description of the above logic puzzle and hope this helps clear things up....
you have to 'fill in' the boxes by placing colored pieces on the dots in such a way that they connect by the lines and 'light up' the boxes.
you can mix the colors in one space as long as they connect in such a way as to light up a box - as long as a box on either side is lit, the box with two different colored sides will light (as in the corner shown above).....
is that at least a little clearer?

Argghh! I am sooo tired of hearing my 8th grade boys (students) tell me "When Chuck Norris goes swimming, he doesn't get wet. The water gets Chuck Norris." Nah...having read those on the site you posted makes me rather glad that THAT is the Chuck Norris joke they choose to share with me...could be worse, lol. A LOT worse! Hehe.
