how fun! i like the way the three (did i see them all?) hatchlings are playing around the adult resting in the open field. *wonders what the hatchlings are finding* are they catching field mice or other critters? :-)

Four!!!!

Yes, there are four hatchlings. The fourth is in the back, on the left side, stumbling down the hill.

Two are prancing around/in the Adult. The third, blue, was startled by the two behind it.

...and the poor adult who is just trying to soak in a bit of the whispering warmth of a spring day.

I imagined the hatchlings are chasing field mice, butterflies , flowers, each other or anything else that moves in the field.
