Post Patch Panic!!

Greetings, I patched this morning and that went well.
After the patch the game went to load but then crashed, ok i thought perhaps i just needs a clean re-start to take effect.

Upon the next attempt to log-in to my horror it just tells me to create a char from the web-site??

Is this just because my chars are all on Chaos (which i know has some problems)

Slightly worried as it don't show i have any chars anymore.

Judging by Amarie's community post, I think it's a "yes" to all the above

Chaos still getting some fixes by the sound of things. Well worth it if I can play on Chaos with Windows 7 at last!

Panic over, i'm in

One thing i do nitice though is i'm having major problems now with Istaria32* and the CPU memory. It goes from a steady 25% then has a spasm and fluctuates anywhere from 3% upto 84%. Causing my graphics and sound to allmost explode and my mouse to stick all over the place. happens about every 3 mins for 30 seconds or so.

Launcher causes my CPU utilization to max completely out and it takes a very long time to get the launcher to actually display. It takes so long that it is as though it didn't register the double click, but then 1-1.5 minutes later, the launcher finally pops up with the login prompt.

Is there a reason it takes it so long to load or some setting that can speed it up?

Its the istaria32*.exe that has the problems, as it fluctuates up and down the CPU usage it causes the game and my computer to spike and jump.

It was fine yesterday before patch so im assuming something in the patch has reset some setting somewhere?

I've been having this problem with the huge spikes in memory usage and lag as well; it's very annoying. It lasts for several minutes and occurs every few seconds.

I sorted mine by installing the .net 2.0
I was working with 1.0 and 3.4

Game works great now.

wow, i wasnt aware of long downtime.
it okay, i just came back on wrong time, what the difference missing 1 more day when i missed for months.

Patch notes aren't up yet, so what's known is it's over an hour.

Not much of an idea as 24+ hours have passed but hey, If you have something to do, good to do so now.

Edit: Speaking of, I'm sure sleep would be a good thing. That would take care of everything. <3 Devs for getting this done before the long weekend instead of during.
