Default On greeting an old friend once more...

And it came that I woke, and there was a spirit about the land that I had not heard or seen in long and long... and that seeing was joy and that waking land's weal...

And it seems meet that that meeting be memoried... and if that remembering borrows some from the land called Real and the words of the land called Real.. let it be as it must

And the name of the spirit was.......

    Ssilmath!

    The wonderful thing about Ssilmath
    ‘Cos Ssilmath’s a wonderful thing
His tongue it be made out of rubber
His words made of knotted up string
    He’s grouchy, grouchy, grouch, grouchy
    Glum, glum, glum, glum, glum
But the most wonderful thing about Ssilmath
Is he’s the one we love

    The wonderful thing about Ssilmath
Is Ssilmath just keeps coming back
He’ll threaten and shout and we shiver
But he’s Istar’ from front to his back
    He’s grumpy, grumpy, grumpy, grumpy
    Glum, glum, glum, glum, glum
But the most wonderful thing about Ssilmath
Is he’s the one we love

    Ssilmath’s inclined to a bellow
But inside he’s soft and he’s sweet
So while he insists on denial
    Ssilmath, just let me repeat….

    The wonderful thing about Ssilmath
    ‘Cos Ssilmath’s a wonderful thing
His tongue it be made out of rubber
His words made of knotted up string
    He’s grouchy, grouchy, grouch, grouchy
    Glum, glum, glum, glum, glum
But the most wonderful thing about Ssilmath
Is he’s the one we love
    Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee’s the one we love!

Honour to thee, Aywren wise... it seems my poor skill in Common may have led ye awry.

I have not returned, for never have I left. I shall be here so long as there be a here to be. But it be Ssilmath, the Paladin of the Lost, that be among us once more.

And if this was thy meaning, and it was Ssilmath ye greeted, then it be not my poor skill of tongue at fault, but my lack of wit... and the fault still and yet mine .

Aye, a welcome back was to Ssilmath!

And still your posts are poetry -- my fault for lack of paragraph breaks. I'm having a giddy morning, I beg your pardon.

It is very nice indeed to hear of both Ssil and Seph, both of whom have added an inimitable flavor to Istaria. Sounding out Ssilmath's sibilances, and "oh now I get it" were an unforgettable part of Istaria's ambience.

And Seph's post on MMORPG.com backstopping Aywren's gave the thread a strong idea of Istaria at its finest.

Not a bad day... at all.

    Welcome back Ssil,

As to Seph, well - I normally have to read those posts twice or three times to ensure I have rightly understood the verbiage .. but this time it seemed almost too easy .. mayhap I'm still thinking of the poetry contest when someone wrote about tinkers .. but this one made complete sense to me off the bat ..

Which means either Seph is becoming less enigmatic .. or more likely I'm learning to speak Seph
