Temeraire
For anyone who loves Dragons and hasn't heard of this series (Temeraire by Naomi Novik) I would highly recommend it. Its an alternate history set around the time of the Napoleonic Wars (early 1800s) and told from the point of view of a Dragon and his partner/handler. Very cool stuff. Six books in the series so far.
And I've read that Peter Jackson has acquired the rights to make movies of it.

Though, I've seen P. Jackson is thinking about making mini-series.
