Full scanning bug?

I and a few folks in my channel are getting full scans the first time we log in every day. Sometimes several times a day. It REALLY depresses my urge to log in knowing I havemany megs of downloads every time waiting for me.

I am not using any map packs, (what's the point if it full patches over EVERY time?) and unless I am missing something I don't THINK they are patching the live servers every day, at least not that I have to download all the models EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Anyone have any ideas?

There is a registry entry that tells the patcher it needs to do this. Typically it is created when a scan fails or if certain files have been corrupted. However, it appears that the flag is not always getting removed after a successful full scan. I've let the Client Team know and they're going to look into this further.

We should have a fix for this soon.

Thanks! Glad to know it's not just us causing it to flake out for some reason. Look forward to a fix! In the mean while a digging in the registry I'll go ;)

EDIT: For those interested Registry entry is called /Horizons/version/failed_full_update, I think you delete that entry I think it skips the full scan. I got rid of it, now to see if it stays deleted.
