Bug with seeing armour on characters

Noticed this a while ago but assumed it a computer / installation related issue but recently a friend and i have been raising biped classes together (both healer) and the problem is consistent.

I cannot see her "chainmail" shoulder pads or boots on her character (from my pc)

She cannot see my "chainmail" shoulder pads or boot on my character (from her pc)

But we can both see our own (from our own pcs)

I'm not sure if this extends to scalemail as well or other armour sets but i know it definitely affects chainmail. I've zoomed right in etc so it doesn't appear to be a level of detail (lod) loading problem etc.

Could someone take a look at this? Or others try it to confirm.
