Match Reports - Order United vs Kwellen Upstart / Mountain Marrows

Today's first fixture saw the line up of the rag-tag Gifted side and one of Istaria's much feared Aegis adversaries, the Son of Gigaroth.

Frontline offence for the Gifted side was the newly formed Dragon combination of Lovwyrm, Lunalove, Icecial, Rathios and Nykara.
Backing them up with stuns and healing were the much respected duo, Malicore and Twiggie.

From the opening charge the Gigaroth youngster failed again and again to find an answer to the concerted onslaught of United's attack.
A truly one sided affair with the final brutal blows being delivered in a coordinated attack by Lovewyrm, Rathios and Nykara leaving the son of the great Gigaroth himself, a ruined heap in the desolate southern reaches of the Eastern Deadlands Arena.

Newcomer to the big game, Icecial picked up the Gigaroth family sponsored prize, the Demon Claw, as a reward for a successful outing at the bleak arena.

Final Score: 1 - 0 to Order United.


In the second match of the day, United's formidable Draconic offence was bolstered by the presence of Dracaena.

Opposing the gifted in this matchup was none other than the mighty maurading Mountain Marrow himself.... Valkor. Why the big V needs the backup of his guards is anyone's guess, but from the opening shout of "Charge!" it was all downhill for the Gifted.

A sickening display of the awesome power of Valkor's "Vampiric Bats" left all but the barely out of range Malicore dead in their tracks, and the only sign of their presence was a few whispy trails of smoke hanging in the frozen air.

Thanks to Malicore, United was able to get themselves back together on field without significant delay.

Launching a counterattack, United unleashed a full assault without being surprised by Valkor's special ability. Although he released his much loved Bats time and time again, the combined healing power of United was able to withstand their burn. This was when the Gifted truly hit their top form. Striking blow after blow on the Mighty Marrow, he was left dazed and on his knees, seemingly begging for mercy. None of the United side were aware of the Big V's call for substitute guards, which arrived on scene in the nick of time for the Mountain based side.

The guards were able to quickly divide United's defence and remove the healing power of Twiggie, then slowly one by one United's attack was snuffed out by the Ethereal blows of the Marrows.

Final Score: 2 - 0 to Mountain Marrows.


For the third encouter of the day, United feeling understrength with the departure of Lovwrym, Lunalove and Malicore, even with the addition of the coming into form duo of Northwind and Krinharth, felt unable to take on the old Drake of the Eastern Deadlands, Reklar, and instead opted to accept a rematch with the Son of Gigaroth.

Gigaroth jr, seeking to rescue some pride from his earlier efforts, was keen to get the match-up underway.
This was the Kwellen's undoing as he was not prepared for the finely honed co-ordinated attack from United.
Stunned into submission for the second time today, the Kwellen quickly gave up the second of the Gigaroth sponsored prizes, this time a Demonbane Spike, which was awarded to Rathios, claiming the first epic trophy in his now flourishing career.

Final Score: 1 - 0 to Order United.
