We spent a great time together - thanks to you all - Milandira and me really enjoyed it. I've taken some pictures and decided to show them ordered by theme.

Castle "Ronneburg"

The castle was firstly mentiond in the year 1231. The castle keep is 30 m (98 ft) high, the well in the castle is 96 m (314 ft) deep, it really impressed me and I managed to take a picture of it . Most inscriptions in the castle give us a time between 1500-1600 where most parts of the castle have been build.

Loads and loads of sandstone... AMON, we want buildable castle walls, towers...


The 96 m (314 ft) deep well, surly build by dwarves.


Only gnomes are able to build such structures.


It's large, it's impressive, it's old - I love it!


I've taken dozens of pictures, I can't show them all ...


You can marry in the castle, this room is used as a registry office, the castle contains also a small chapel


Some very old fresco (for me it looks like 13/14th century, there aren't much of them left) I love it!

The Show

There was a show "Fangdorn, the last living dragon". The show was great and maybe Lovwyrm is able to give you a summing up of the story, the sound was really bad and I didn't understand all.


A water fairy


The evil earl against the myth creatures - the earl wants to steal the diamonds that could be found in the myth spring

To steal the fire, the evil earl needs the horn of the last unicorn, the unicorn gets killed (didn't take a picture of that)

The earl and is comrades got defeated, the myth creatures got back the fire, a new unicorn was born, peace and love back to the mythic land...

Sigh, this truly makes me wish I could have grew up with my German side of the family, rather than here in the states. So many incredible things to see and do, and unfortunately, all I have to go by are pictures and stories/experiences from my mom . I'll have to take a trip there one of these days when I can afford it.

It looks like you all had a blast! Judging by those pictures, a place/event like that would easily put just about any renaissance fair over here to shame haha. I would have loved to be there.

Yes, we had a great time. Thanks for Lov to organize it. I'm glad I could attend it.

Not everything is greener here in Europe, somethings only look like that from afar.. but we definitively have very nice castles which make great locations for such events.

But really you can't wear sneakers with a Mittelalter-outfit, lol.
It's a pitty I couldn't join, maybe next time. But thanks for sharing the pictures
