Need help getting AGH Viewer to work please

Hello, thanks for taking the time to read this.

I'm having trouble getting AGH Viewer to work. I keep getting an Unhandled Exception and a description about not being able to find the path I've pointed the root too. I've got it on my desktop, or is it supposed to go into the Istaria folder? Also, what about the DLL files? Where are they supposed to go?

I keep my AGH Viewer in its own folder and placed the DLLs in there with it. Mine works if I stick it on the desktop, but that could just be because mine works to begin with. It doesn't need to be in the Istaria folder.

When it's talking about the root, it means your root Istaria directory. You'd normally change that by going to File > Change Root, but if you're getting that message before you've even been able to set that, then I'm not sure what's going on. :c

theoreticaly "root" can be NOT in istarian folder.
but it can work wierd with not original istarian files; thus it refuse work in istarian folder, if some customization instaled, for me, and I must clear off all customizations.

Okay, it looks like I'm doing it right then, but for some reason I just cannot get it to accept the path I point the root to, which in this case is Istaria/Resources/Textures_AGH/Characters/Dragonu/Clothes. I'm guessing this is where the scale textures are?

I'm using a passworded Vista, so maybe that has something to do with it. I'll try on my Windows7 machine and see if I can get it to work on that.

Just set the root to your Istaria base folder. It'll have the other folders in the left side menu for you to browse and open.

That link should work; it's where I got mine from, I believe. I have AGH viewer in it's own little folder in a folder on my desktop, similar to Raptress. As suggested in Ceyra's thread, you may need to run it in compatibility mode.

This is your problem. AGH Viewer is asking for your root Istaria directory, which is the base Istaria folder that contains all the files. (E.g.: C:/Program Files/Istaria)

What you are essentially telling AGH Viewer to try to do is find all of Istaria's file structure inside of .../Clothes. The files are of course not there, so the program doesn't know what to do and explodes. :P
