Hey guys was just curious if Istaria is playable on Linux? I am using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64-bit. I have read that it is easily accessible with wine, but have encountered errors due to Java.

Not sure how the Linux/Wine thing works, but do know this. You need to have the 32 bit version of Java for the patcher to work. On Win 7, I had to install both the 64 bit version and the 32 bit version. Since you have a 64 bit system, wondering if maybe you only installed the 64 bit version of Java. I had to reinstall Windows on my machine a month or so ago. Took me about 15 mins to figure out why the patcher kept giving errors. I installed the 64 bit. Soon as I installed the 32 bit, it worked. It is perfectly ok to install both versions. They will install to slightly different folders (well at least on Windows)
