Post Satturn's Combat Claw/Scale making Guide

    Version with automatic photos--> http://guildregicide.enjin.com/forum...e-making-guide

Ellos, i made this for helping peeps if they dont know how to set up good scales/claw. IT ISNT PERFECT! I am not a Dev, i do not know every thing about the games crafting! If you want to suggest something comment, plus comment on how well i did please? -Satturn

Note: Its good to be 100 craft following this guide

Finding the type of scale for YOU yes YOU! (Scale only)

As we all know, theres 6 types of scales,

    Health
    Armor
    Strength
    Power
    Dexterity
    Focus

There really is no perfect one, it just depends on what kind of fighter or tank you want your dragon to be. If you wanted your dragon to be like steel choose armor, if you want your dragon to be a powerful spell caster do power, if you want to stay alive longer or survive one shots better, choose health, simple.
But remember you can always tech a Armor scale with strength or another stat, choose wisely..
(note: they dont all have to be the same type in your scale set, but its easier to have them all the same type)

Setting up your scale/weapon techs etc.

    1. Techs for Stats (Scale only)

Now that you got the scale type(s) your doing down now to set up your techs!
You should probably check your stats and your fraction to see what you might want to tech your scales/claw with. (if you want to go by your fraction stats)
    Lets look at Satts...

Depending on which one is the lowest stat of Strength, Power, Dexterity, and Focus,(we'll talk about health and armor later) you may want to raise it by putting a tech of that on maybe one or two of your scales your making.

Strength: Physical force and effectiveness. Increases damage with physical attacks and improves physically demanding craft skills.

Dexterity: Physical quickness and coordination. Improves chance to hit with and avoid physical attacks and improves physically intricate craft skills

Power: Mental force and effectiveness. Increases damage of magic and improves mentally demanding craft skills

Focus: Mental quickness and coordination. Improves chance to hit with and avoid magical attacks and improves mentally complex craft skills.
Copied word to word from the game

Satt's heres lowest is Dexterity so i put dexterity on 4 of her scales..
This is optional. It wouldnt effect you to bad for not doing this. But if you want to even your stats, go ahead.

    2. Techs for skills

Still not done on techs? Ok, choose a skill you really like to raise, like Tooth and Claw or Primal.

Primal: Allows dragons to use primal magic which has a variety of arcane and myistic effects
Tooth and Claw: Allows a monster or dragon to attack effectively with no weapon equipped
Dragon Breath: (Istaria is being stupid and wont show me)

Sadly not all of your skills can be raised by techs, so you will have to choose of these here. I recommend choosing one skill tech to put on a scale not all of the techs.

    3. Sockets sockets sockets

Sockets, sockets can hold health crystals to help with your hp and other crystals with effects on it like Burning embers that help in combat. You should put atleast 1 socket on each scale you can sock. Head, chest, and forelegs can be socketed only.. choose wisely. I highly suggest putting sockets on your scales!

    5. Health and Armor Techniques worth it?

In my opinion health and armor techs arent worth it, its better to have Health or Armor scales that are much easier to make or have a socketed scale with a health crystal in it that has +150 hp or a crystal that has 60 armor on it.
But if your that in love with health and armor go ahead i guess.

    6. Tech kits!

If your level 100 and ancient, you should know about the Tech kits that the Guardians and Elial drop.
You dont? Im disappointed.. just kidding.
These tech kits can be made by dragons used on scales and claws. They are very good on your scales and claws.
Yes i know that you have to put them on after your done making your scale/claw. But! I wanted to tell you first about these so you dont have 3 techs on your claw and you find out cant put a tech kit on it because you have to have a free tech place for it on your claw.

So! Which ones do i recommend to put on your scales? Piecing wings on your wing scales, they will help your Gale Wind recycle by 25% and its damage. And i recommend putting Razor Teeth on your head scale. What to put on your claw? You can decide, i havent tried them all so i dont officially know. But i have Deadly on my claw if you wanted to know.

    Finishing up

You got your scale/claw all set up and ready to gather your comps and materials? Nice!
Hope you found this helpful, hope your scales/claw turn out FABULOUS!

This guide will certainly help in the question..."What techs do you want on your scales?" Hehe

The only change i would make, is the definition of tooth and claw. Don't use the one from the game - it implies a dragons t&c skill is only relevant without a claw equipped, when infact it adds to a "base" damage amout, even with a claw on.
