Default Crafting experience over the optimal/higher lvl

Im sure someone has taken the time to figure this out, heres the question:

When crafting an item that your are over optimal at, does the exp you get decrease as you get higher, due to the fact that your skill is further over the optimal OR because you are a higher lvl in the school OR a mix of both?

Im sure you can figure out why im asking.

Craft experience is based on your skill level not your school level.

For building classes, craft exp is based on current skill. For non building classes, craft exp is based on base skill.

The ONLY way you get exp from current skill is when you are applying resources to a building.

i.e. I get a Bronze Fitting Mallet (limits my skill to 250) and I now get exp for doing bronze/iron fittings.

Every other crafting exp is given by your base skill (which is why crafting techs are a must, to get you over max efficiency before. Thus giving you more exp =] ).

To answer you question (I think), if you skill gets too high you no longer get XP. For example, when you become a Level 60 Mason you get no XP for sandstone bricks in any school. If you are a level 60 Mason you should start miner and head right for Granite (which you should be optimal).

I find working gems is better for miner, as you can bring in more per load, bringing more exp, i am optimal at T3 so thats what im doing right now, lvl 58 miner and counting, and people say working miner is boring! ha!
