Getting ingame

Is any one else having trouble getting ingame? I got in once shut down to do something and now the launcher is hanging on "checking character...." or whatever that stage is. I forget for sure what it says exactly. Then when you get ingame only clouds, no you, no proper name, noi chat and no one else searchable (there were others ingame when I shut down.

I get the sky and nothing else.

Finally got back. Game stopped responding on a port so things seem back to normal for me.

I'm having trouble too. Error messages like Decryption Failure, connection time-out, connection error and a blank character window alternate and keep me stuck in the launcher.
