Currently, most of our communities in IStaria are slums.. abandoned, unloved. Even in communities where people are building, the smallest plots are left abandoned.
Many years ago, changes were made because there was no land available. part of this includes separate tier for land ownership. One major change as well, was the removal of seperate RCI specifications. Nowdays we have communities that are nothing more than one or two plots that build everything possible on them. and they feel just horrible in aesthetic design. Now, im not suggesting going fully back to the old "RCI" standard, but the programming still exists for it.
What I recommend is expanding ability to own land without impacting the current setup, that will also hopefully cause a beautification of communities.
First,Recommend shutting down any community that has no one in it on either chaos or order. THis will allow a focus to be on communities that are being used.
Now, those who purchase land nowdays mainly do so for access to the Lairs, industrial machines and silos. This proposal keeps this in mind
Allow the "Free Accounts" to own land. They have to "purchase" a free monthly tenant agreement in the account management each month to keep it active (it does not auto renew) This keeps someone from making an account, buying land, then stop playing. If this happens, normal community reclamation takes affect. The Free account can ONLY purchase the smallest plots, and they are zoned as Residential ONLY.
THe Basic Account can buy some of the medium sized plots, zoned as Residential/Commercial. Only 1 plot can be purchased on the entire account, no matter how many "basic" subscriptions are there.
Land Owner Account act as they do now.. YOu can get multiple plots with multiple land owner purchases.. you can buy and build any plot or lair, and have exclusive access to the full RCI plots. If you have 1 Land Owner and 1 Basic, you still only get 1 plot, you MUST purchase multiple Land Owner to have Multiple plots. As people who buy this option mostly build lairs, silos and industrial, there will be very little decrease in subscriptions due to this
This will lead to a surge of community involvement, and those with free or accounts may decide to upgrade to get better accomodation
