The Whitered Bane
When I did not have the quest at all, I got 10 of the Cedar Treant Seed Cones (which also do not stack) while collecting 50 Chunks of Wood for Ornaments. Now I am the step in the quest where I need to collect the Cedar Treant Cones, but the ones I already have do not count. I am not able to collect any more cones without deleting the ones collected previously.

Since you were in the middle of a quest when the update occurred your progress got reset so you will need to delete the quest and start again.
