Thread: Quest journal tabs

    Default Quest journal tabs

It's hard to find what a quest needs when you need to scroll through twenty others to find it. Tabs were put in for abilities, so why not try something like them to make the quest window more organized? Town marshal quests could be separated from others, and so could title quests, or they could be organized by tier. Or, well, anything, honestly. I'm just tired of losing my quests in that mess all the time.

I think this is a good idea. I support this.

I'd filter by... (filters syphon out irrelevent quests from the list)

-Title quest (pure grind only - y'know, kill 500 of x)
-Town Marshall and Trophy in one catagory
    -General Craft quest
    -General Adventure quest
-Dragon quest (any/all of the dragon ability improvement quests both craft and adventure) (unless bipeds will ever be given school-exclusive quests of a similar scale, all biped quests do not need the same treatment so all biped school exclusive quests go into the general catagories)

    Additionally...
Filters may be applied like they are in the knowledge window, that is the ability to apply multiple filters at the same time to make it easy to see quests from multiple catagories, and with no filters ALL quests are shown.
If filters are applied like they are in the character window tabs, then an "all" catagory would be needed to encompass all quests.

I personally prefer the former method of adding filters - like the knowledge window - as this allows seeing quests of multiple catagories. For example title and town marshall often are linked and paired up by players.

Then add sorting by (sorting is the order in which the quests are listed)

    -Alphabet
-Teir (teir first accessed at, with 20 counting as II, 40 III and so on)
-Possible craft/adventure sorting for my classification of a dragon ability filter

I like those filters, Azath, and making it like the knowledge window would be pretty sweet, though I have no idea how much work that would take. Could have a search button like the knowledge window, too.

I could absolutely get behind adding some filters to the quest window o.o

It's just such a pain to scroll through 40 town marshall and title quests just to find the one I actually want to check my progress in... especially when the quests aren't sorted alphabetically or in the order you pick them up.

Full support to anything that makes the quest window more manageable!
