Tried to join all of these schools but the Trainers 'have better things to do'.
I meet the requirements (UA 200), anyone else have this problem?
On Unity.
Had someone else try it and they got the same thing.

Shaw,
Disciples are the only schools that you must get a quest to join. If you are a level 20 monk, talk to Haserra the Monk trainer in Kion and get the "Meet the Disciples" quest.
Go through that quest and after you complete it, talk to Haseera. She will give you a medallion. Then the disciples will be'unlocked' and then you can talk to them and join a school.

Hah... it HAS been a long time hasn't it?
BTW, if you keep getting the same mission over and over, like "Kill 10 Level 10 maggots" That is part of the progression that you must complete before getting the 'Meet the Disciples' quest.

HratLi SnowPelt : From Bounty to Chaos : Eyes of Istaria
MultiCrafter, Spirit Disciple, Walking Bleed Attack.
HratLi's Bucket of Fury : A Saris in cargo gear appears and beats on your foe.
Damage : 50-150 Attack Type: Bucket Duration: Until Dispelled Frequency: 0:02
aye, that's what the problem was...I could not believe that i would have to kill lvl 10 maggots to progress, I just shrugged off the quest thinking, aye right.
Keep getting side tracked, but will go kill those ******** maggots, soon.
and thanks for the info :)

NK maggots top out at Level 9 also.

Storm Disciple.
Well got to say I am enjoying this class so far.
My Nature background is immensely useful for it, and the joy when you actually start to hit things is tangible.
Only one wee thing, the sound effect on Lightning Claws...you cast it thinking wow, that looks great and a nice effect...then you end up turning it off as the wwwwwooom, wwwooooom, wwwooooomm noise is annoying as f, anything.

Storm Disciple, One of the most fun classes I have had the pleasure of trying.
Yes, if it is your 1st class, it will be a long road, now I want to see a group of monks/disciples only going into battle :)

Right, this is straight from memory, since I don't have a Hz install handy nearby.
\horizons\resources\sound\magic\release_lightning. wav or something similar - delete this file and the sound effect goes poof. =) I'm not certain on the name, so listen them through in Winamp or something first.
(This technique can with advantage be used on the immolate sound effect too. Yayness.
Hey, if you see someone in town you really dislike you can always annoy the heck out of em by turning your Storm Disc effect on and jumping continuously next to them.[6]
But of course I'd never do that... noooo.[8]
Aha quests! [*-)] Just started new char and figured may aswell check out monk with view of later joining Disciple, had I not looked here however I would have assumed that trainers did'nt give out quests[:^)] So thnx for info guys really enjoying the different aspects and pace this class brings so far.
Have however read some other posts from peeps not so happy with the monk-line, but will judge for myself [;)]
I always recommend trying the classes and not just following the flock :)
