Its very hard to make icons really as they are only 16*16 pixels but we can take the ingame icons and make them smaller. i did that with grapes.

No But Deidrich at Kushan Sogd have mafe me pumpkin and Skulks and dragon NPCs so expect them at next versoion.
Well one tip is to install and start play with gimp, www.gimp.org
