If you dont want to fiddle with registry by yourself, then I do it for you.
Rightcklick and save following registry files:

NoPatchHz.reg (turns the patching off)
PatchHz.reg (turns the patcher on again)

If you dont trust the regfiles, roghtclick and edit them and read wich keys the change at windows regitry.

I commend your helpful attitude and quite possibly other players will use your files and play hz by this roundabout way. [:)]

However, I shall stay stubborn and wait for the official solution.

I play much too often, anyway.... Its a surprise how much you can do on a single day if you don't play [;)]

It is 15:50 and the problem is not fixed yet. So either you will take the roundabout route and fiddle with your registry or it's shopping time...

A new note just appeared: [15:30] disk recovering all data is near to 60%.

Now is this good or is this frightening? I wonder...

Used the RegKeys, but got an adressing failure. Made it with my Hands, but still the same.

[co]... had a computer wiz explain it to me and it looks somewhat like this:

something (the patch server) is broken, and to get the new one to work they have to recreate all past information and write it on a disk and all the while the system is up and running and new data are added by the second to the normal server and this server, too. And such a thing always takes a lot of time, even if they used the best methods for running a patch server and mirroring stuff. Which they probably don't.

So -- even if a company does everything right such a breakdown takes a long time to fix.

I am beginning to pity them -- imagine them running around with their hair standing on end imploring their data writing to go faster, faster!!!

Will have a look tomorrow -- if it's still no going I will try the roundabout route...

If you are able to play .. are you sure that the data will be saved? or is it just playing for fun but not gaining anyhthing?

Very good question, i think it would be just for fun.. but i'm not sure.
I really want to play (build my house) but i won't risk the bypass,it would be terrible to have build all night and loose all the effort.

Does anyone know if playing with the bypass further delays the immage making? If so, please don't play :-)

Hag.. the wise people, such as tramsan figured out it had to be in the version folder.. try that.. should help

Just to make this a little easier for un-nerdy people with XP like me [img]/Web/emoticons/emotion-2.gif[/img]

First, click start->run
Type regedit and hit enter
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ArtifactEntertainment\ Horizons\version

Right click on version, choose New->String Value
Type NoPatch in String Value
Right click on the new string and choose Modify and set value data to 1
Click Ok

Then you can close the window

However REMEMBER to remove it when there is a patch or you will not recieve any updates!

I followed this manual posted by Exavier and I have been able to play and we had loads of fun killing a T5 anchor. In other words "It works great¨
