    Default Unused Structure-Models

    I put some structures from the hz-folder in the offline-mode and took screens of it, here you go.
    They are all not used ingame.

    First the Castle:
    These Screenshots were taken months ago already, but i posted them on tazoon.com ...

    Untextured large Test Dungeon:
    Here are screens of a large nice modelled but untextured Test Dungeon, would be great as underground city and later, when the technics for dungeons are there, the city could be taken over by Undeads.

    Library:
    A nice looking but also unused library, TG could put Npcs in the library which teach you about the history of Istaria.

    Round Human House:
    Also a nice structure could be placed somewhere in Istaria with an Quest-Npc inside sth like Old Man Jenkins.

    House with little Towers:
    The same as with the round House. But the textures are a bit screwed up.

    Blight Temple:
    Not sure if this Model is used, but never saw the structure ingame.

    Artifact of Wood:
    We heard of it, but I was never ingame, here is a screen of it

    Trainer structures:
    In the folder for player structures I found Tier 1-6 Craft-Trainer structures and Tier 1-6 Adventure Trainer-Structures. Both Structures for the Craft Trainers and the Adv. Trainers are tents, but they have different colors, and higher tiered structures are larger than the lower tiered.

    Gnome Houses:

    A large Half Giant House looks cool, but also unused.

    A Dwarven Tower as we know them but this one has a Entrance and stairs ^^

    Human ......??? :
    Not sure how to call it, its a infomation place or sth. like this. We saw it in a trailer in the trailer it was near to a ressource spot, things like this should be placed in the world, because then the world don`t look so empty.

    Large Round Tower:
    Hm looks impressive, but unxtextured.

    The File is called "com_cliffsidesteps_reg_reg_n.agf", looks also nice, but also untextured.

    I *think* the large test dungeons may be the layout for the Eastern Blight fortress. Have not been out there since premerge, but those pics ring a bell.

    Pre-merge they had also mentioned craft and adventurer trainers as buildable structures. I had forgotten about it till you just posted that pic. Don't think we'll see those anytime soon, the current Human Trade Center is broken and has been broken since release :P

    Test dugeon with pvp in mind? ( the arena)

    The east blight dungeon I have been in and it doesn't look like that screenie. It's 3 levels but really pretty small. It is also completely textured. I took a bunch of screenies.... got them someplace.

    So how do you get to offline mode? I remember doing it once before rop was in to see how adult dragons look, but not how I did it.

    now if they could just get some real lore other than conglamorated stories (www.palladiumbooks.com to see what i mean) and real quests you might have me back.

    Interessting maybe we will get the missing racial structures soon [:D]

    Castles would defenitley be a big + [Y] lets hope we get them someday.. maybe there are only some parts of them done.. and no useful furniture ore other things that needs to be done for them to be useful.

    TulgAE has said their artist (notice no plural;)) is still busy with lairs, so racial structures, then possibly furniture will come after lairs (they haven'thad time tofigure out how to do furniture from a technical standpoint yet apparently).

    Found 2 other Structures both mainly untextured, but with textures they would look great :)

    If I remember correctly, in the interviews published was prior to the release of the game, there was some info on castles, and that guilds would be able to build them on the plots (different peaces on different plots), all linked together, and that these castles will also be points that WA will go after.

    For example the following interview that is available onWarCry (note the 10 building castle set): HomeLAN - We have heard a bit about a Castle. Were you affiliated with that? If so what did you do on it and what makes it cool?

    Matt Milizia - To be honest the castle is insane as far as scale and visual effect. It is definitely one of the largest structures I have ever seen in a MMORPG. Not to mention it's a player constructable building. Elaine Hultgren (our extremely talented concept artist) carefully diagrammed every meter of castle structures, making the design rock solid, not to mention historically accurate for all of the castle structures. The main castle gatehouse alone takes 50 seconds to run from the base to the top, and that's not even exploring the structure. The Keep is even grander in scale, having 49 different rooms including a double story Great Hall (with balcony). The Keep is so large in scale that both Mark Damico (the modeler) and I still get lost in it. The modeling done by Mark was absolutely amazing especially given that we only had a month to complete the 10 building castle set. I got to paint all of the textures and set up the vertex lighting on all of the structures. Half of the month was spent vertex lighting the structures giving them a dark, but yet homey atmosphere. I know this for sure; as soon as someone earns a castle they are never leaving Horizons.

    the castles bits are in the game code ie they are in the stucture files, but I think it will be very unlikely that we will see them live across the servers as buildable structures.

    Oh my god, I want that tent, would be worth a resubscription. Hey, I always hinted that this game really needs a cool big tent too.

    The cliffsidesteps look great, I wonder where they could be placed to make use of the great drama this model has. The shorelines sure could use some work.

    Regarding the others, wow, AE sure liked wasting and looking at the totally crapinahurry tiered human buildings compared to these detailed and way cool buildings makes my heart hurt.
