In summary its an offer to have chars copied to blight from order and chaos by way of emailing a shard specific address on 30th-31st of march.

Looks like a step in the right direction for testing.

Would a char be copied from Chaos or Order if you already have an existing test char on Blight?

As it stands now, I believe the existence of character copy is just to allow us to copy our main characters to blight, to make testing easier.

i would like to know if we have a character on blight already will we have to delete that one or will it be an add just like when they were testing the merge.

You won't have to delete your characters on Blight.

Copied characters may be deleted in the future and will be replaced if you copy the same character again.

Q: Who is eligible for Character Copy?
A: Anyone that has an active account only on Chaos or Order will be able to copy one character to Blight.

Q: How do I sign up for Character Copy?
A: The following email addresses will be opened ([email protected] OR [email protected]) on March 30th and 31st for you to request a copy of your one character of choice to Blight.

Q: What should I include in the e-mail.
A: The name of your one character of choice.

Q: When will the transfer take place?
A: Character copies will take place Friday April 1st

Q: What information gets copied in a Character Copy?
A: Your Character?s Name (example Bob from Chaos will be Bob_Chaos) Your Inventory, Vault, and Knowledge Book

Please Note: Plots, Storage Structures and their contents will not be copied.

Well, on the thread I started entitled "Questions about character copying" before seeing that this thread was started [:P], I asked if we would get a confirmation that our character would be copied.

I've e-mailed and it didn't get returned to me, but since there is only a two day window to make your request, it'd be nice to have a confirmation that it was recieved, etc.

I think this is a great idea, and have requested my dragon be copied so I can help test the ARoP (although I'll have to get him a few levels to start, he's only 85).

This is a good idea...

Another idea that has been suggested was to enable a separate installation directory for blight, so that we don't kill our HDs with deleting and installing files every time we want to switch from test to live and vice versa.

This also adds a considerable amount of time to the log in process when swapping servers.
