All the races may be chosen by a beginner. Each race has a special attribute that may be used infrequently as well as a different mix of statistics.
Saris have Saris sprint, a longer duration sprint, useful for running out to ore fields or to negatively advance at a bigger enemy.
Dwarves have Dwarven Toughness, which gives them a brief boost in effective armor against physical attacks.
Ssliks have Sslike Regeneration to heal more quickly.
