The following plots in the beautiful seaside town of Jambi are hereby up for judging.

Lazy Azz Acres --- Loc. 20455/13512 --- Owner: Azzuria

Nestled near the center of town this Gnomes plot shows the most efficient use of any available space I have ever seen. However, there are still the small decorations that set this plot apart from others that cram everything together. Visit her Alchemy Shop while you are there and place an order for your potions.

    Grazeland --- Loc. 20616/13527 --- Owner: Ellielahur

As a Satyr, Ellie has placed an emphasis on an outdoor feel to this lovely little plot. Overlooking the beach of Jambi it bosts a quiet place to dine. Just follow the colorful flagstones to the Gazebo hidden under the trees. A perfect place to relax on a hot sultry day.

    Shali's Chalet --- Loc. 20562/13536 --- Owner: Shaliwyn

This plot, adjacent to the Guildhall provides Jambi with its center of knowledge, the Scholar Shop. Hedges border the plot and provide a cool place within to relax while you continue your studies. If you are lucky and find Shaliwyn at home she may suprise you with one of her home cooked meals, with a distinct Elven flavor, served in her Chalet style house. Trees are abundant which express her Elven Heritage.

    Aris's Gnomestead --- Loc. 20507/13586 --- Owner: Ariabeth

Who does not know Ari, one of Istarias most well known Tinkers? Here you will find her Home and many of the buildings she requires to practice her trade. Hidden somewhere you may stumble across a silo or two but they remain nicely out of view from the main streets of the town. Secluded walkways, tree lined and numerous hedges divide the working portion of the plot from the fun side. Follow those walkways and you will come to a beautiful large fountain almost in the center of the town that you can relax by after a hard day of adventuring. Somewhere, there is a small Consignor Shop where she will eventually sell her wares once she settles down from all the building.

    Bori's Brewery --- Loc. 20508/13644 --- Owner: Bori

Across from Aris'Gnomestead you will find Bori's place. Being a Master Carpenter, Fletcher and Gatherer he has transplanted many of the unique trees he found while cutting wood onto his plot. Many, many trees you will find providing a welcome relief to the hot summer sun with their shade. The balcony of his well built home overlooks the Fountain on Ari's plot and several little well treed hideaways can be found, complete with a comfortable rock to rest on. Visit the Blacksmith, Wood, and Mason Shops or check and see if Shaliwyn has stocked some of her delectable delights at the Confectioners. Silos? No silo farm here either for they are small, descreet and well hidden by the numerous trees. Perhaps Bori will sit and share his famous Ale with you, if he is not busy.

House of Sin --- Loc. 20602/13536 --- Owner: Sinistre

The Business center of Jambi it holds the Guildhouse and the Town Vault. Your money is secure here but easily accesible if you find that perfect something that you just have to have or if the Gambling Den across Town has ran you a bit short. Though there are silos, once again they are small and discreet and you will not see them unless you hunt for them. Perfect for parties the Guildhouse sports an outdoor Patio, well treed for you to enjoy the sights and sounds of Jambi in perfect relaxation. Nestled between the Vault and the Guildhouse is a little hideaway for those just wishing to escape and leave the bustle behind. If the Guildmaster, Sinistre, extends you an invite you may be honored to visit his home. Although imposing and Fiendish, with its tall walls and spires the garden walk leads to a hidden rock garden, perfect for those hot summer evening tete-a-tetes with that someone special. Many visiting Dignitaries may be seen leaving the House or relaxing on the upstairs balcony which overlooks the ocean and the beach.

These are the finished plots in Jambi that we submit for judgement. As time permits other plots will be completed but Jambi does have all the Journeyman Shops for your conveniance.

I'd like to nominate my plot, Serenity Palace, for the contest. It's north east of South March, just up the hill. The coordinates are 24125/19828.

I've only had this plot for 3 weeks but it's shaping up rather nice. I still have 3 sides of the perimiter wall to complete and a few silo. Here are a few pictures.

I'm so excited! So many lots to look at! In fact, I won't wait until Thursday, I'll start viewing them throughout this week (and my fellow judges better be making their own notes, nudge nudge nudge).

But I will do a final check Thursday to make sure I don't miss any late entries. If any of the nominated lots expect to be more complete by Thursday, PM me and I will hold off the viewing of that lot until Thursday.

Oh, this is gonna be fun. We have enough nominations that some hard choices will have to be made. Give me more! Make it more difficult!

Aucus: adult lunus now over 4 years old! 100/100/92 AROP completed

    Owner: Me
    Location: Crystal, Shephard's Mountain
Route: Bristugo > Shephard's Home > Due south off the pad (and off the cliffside 3 times).

It's my home! I love it! Recently finished a tier IV human guest house, a large gazebo, and currently working on finishing up the pathwork and a few bits of shubery. It's a major work in progress, but I'm comfortable enough with what I have completed to nominate myself. Best tinkering bench out there.

I've got more pics for you to pre-view.
(note .. a bit tired I'll do the hyperlink tomorow)

I have visited the following the plot on Jambi. They have a nice set-up for community when you take all the plots as an entity, but only Sinistre plot strike a flame in my eyes.

But going there I saw two nice plot in Pangai.

    . - Haran

    . - Darban

Then I went to Mia Edge and saw two interesing plot

. - Shalindra ... She has a nice entry to her plot, sure not my liking because I always found those fountain to be out of porportion and always dreamed that the devs would give us smaller ones.

. - Glimmer ... He offered a mixed of racial type building in a well done fashion. Verry pleasing to look at.

I passed by and checked Gusi place. Not sure what category he fit in.

    In Selen
. - Lornne had a simple but nice layout. This is another dude that got a lot of work ahead of him.

    . - Sarek had a nice place.

    Entries for Pretty Plot Contest...

As a young elf, I recall fondly the days I spent under the sacred Loysa trees near Feladan. My friends were the bright wisps and deer. My mentors taught me to recite the sacred prayers thanking the trees when we used them for our daily needs, I learned the craft of carpentry in my homeland.

With the Great Sandstorm my mentors returned to the essence, I was befriended by a wonderful guild, and often played in our beloved guild hall (27704, 16462) in Yewn. My days were spent often near the essence channeler, dreaming of the days I could again be in commune with my trees and wisps.

I gained carpentry knowledge, helping to build the community as I honed my enchanting skills. A human and a Saris helped build the home I had dreamed of there to welcome me ( yewn, 17704, 16462)

As time passed, the human and I fell in love and I moved with him to his home (yewn 27704, 16462) I helped him decorate for the holidaysand we often rested from our crafts under the ivy trellis there.

A few of my new family yearned for bigger adventures to hone their crafts still furtherand moved to Brandons Shelf. As an elf, I shivered as I crossed the great ice to what would be my new home, thrilling to see the many scaffolds which held new hope for us.

I received as a gift from my beloved family the last plot in Brandons, next to the gold fields (Brandon's Shelf 27704, 16462) Their hard earned gift was very dear to me. In the cold of the snow, I longed for my sacred Loysa trees, and set to build a garden in snow that would remind me of my homeland and honor the toil set forth by my family to earn me such a prize.

I honed my skills in the essence and configured a way to create a garden, complete with a patch of grass in the icy tundra, a jewel shop to remind me of the sacred buildings, and archways made of trees line stepping stone paths to the buildings required for my daily life. I planned a scholar shop so I could again play near my friends in the feladan woods as I crafted and to have the essence present in my plot. The rest of the parcel I filled with as many trees as I could to light my path and views of fountains and rocks .

As I craft now, I am able to visit and obtain essence from the wisps of my homeland, recalling my youth. But my new home is in the warm winter of Brandons' shelf.

Sorry, Brassandyn. Whenever we cut it off, *someone* won't be quite ready. And I have a jury trial day on Monday, hopefully with no trials, but by tradition I need to take things easy and keep time reserved for drafting voir dires and instructions.

Maybe you can bribe a friend to do construction for you? *grin*

I spent last night looking at the Settlement nominations. Tonight, I move my bind point to Bristugo (gasp!) and start shuttling around from there. I will look again Thursday for any updated lots, so if your lot needs a second look due to added work, let the judges know in this thread.

I think we have over 40 nominations now. Egad! Good thing I *didn't* wait to Thursday to look at them all, it takes forever, especially with the half-hour downtimes waiting for the sun to rise so I can see them right. And no, I don't want to turn off the sun-cycle, I want the blue sky background for the lot screenies I am taking.

'sides, it'd be unnatural to wield such power over nature ...

Nestled in the rolling green hills of Mia?s Edge sits my little corner of the world, Sweet Haven. While Sweet Haven is not yet complete, I?ve been working every day on it and I believe it shows great promise.

Being an elven maiden, I of course started with the gardens. With the exception of just a few stubborn trees, Sweet Haven?s gardens are in full bloom. And what is an elven maiden?s garden without fountains? And meandering sidewalks? And.. And.. And.. :) I laid the final granite brick on my manor house last night and being able to stand on my new balcony and gaze out over this spectacular green nursery is truly breathtaking. My large gazebo is now underway and will be completed shortly.

Of course the shops are still being built and they are planned and laid out to complement the surrounding landscape. Some are complete, some are near completion but all have been started. The wooden fence to tie it all together is going up, the general store is about ready to open and the ivy archway to enter this lush green site is nearly finished.

To visit Sweet Haven, just take the Mia?s Edge exit and head north up the stone path. Keep climbing upwards and this luscious retreat is the second plot as you journey up. The stoney pathway ends at my home. (28033.63 / 19952.71)

This just in: Artio has donated another 250 silver to the prize pool. I've spoken with the other judges on how to use it and we know how to apply it, but will announce the details when we announce the results.

We also have another new prize donated by a contestant, but I cannot publish the details and will abstain from judging that person's plot. The gist of it is construction assistance, however.

I just wanted to poke my head in this thread for a minute and say what a grand, and in fact, humbling, experience it has been to go round viewing all the nominated plots.

I have traveled the length and breadth of Istaria, going places I've not been to in just about forever, and seeing LOTS of plots that just made me drop my jaw. The creativity I've seen on plots ranging from wee 25/25's to Tier V guild plots is just astonishing.

It will be extraordinarily difficult to come up with the prize winners, for all the plots I've seen are winners in my book.

Kudos to the grand plot designers and builders of Order! [:D]

I'm doing a final looksee to make sure I don't miss any nominations and somehow Cean's 5-30-2005 post is just showing up.

Cean, please tell me how to get to Grandil and Clio, so I can go look at them.

Everyone else, post asap or risk the judges not knowing about the nomination in time. I'm about to go view all the ones I have left to see, which is about 9 lots out of 45 nominations (I am counting all of Nalrach's highlighted plots as nominations).

Then I cook dinner, eat it, and come back to see if there are any last-minute add-ons to view (including anyone who thinks they've done enough extra construction in the past two days to warrant a second viewing). Tomorrow the judges deliberate.

This has been a lot of fun, I can't wait to hand out the prizes! The winners will be posted here.

    Yours,

I apologize for the ambiguity. Little did I know how bloody LONG it would take to run to all these plots! Basically, if the judges are to confer tomorrow night, we have to have viewed all the lots, taken notes, made screenies ... so I'm finishing screenies tonight, then poring over my screenshots and notes and listing my proposed winners, then I will confab with the other judges tomorrow, we'll sort out the winners and assign the prizes, and I'll have it posted Saturday.

No way could we do all that with a few minutes notice of a nomination, hence my comments that we would judge on Friday. But still, I should have made it more clear once I realized the time sink of it all that the deadline was firming up. Sorry :(.

Anyway, I've noted the new nominees (Shalindra was previously nominated, so she's already covered). Back I go into game to go look.

Ok, nominations are CLOSED. Thank you to all who participated (or nominated friends willy nilly, heh). The rest of my evening will be in making my choices; tomorrow the judges reach concensus, and Saturday you all learn the stupendous results.

And will someone tell me how Grandli rates an inscribed Dragon statue? I *so* want one for my lot!

Again, sorry for the lateness of those last few I nominated. RL has kept me hopping recently and time has flowed like dry sand through the fingers. [:$]

I'd love to know the history of the dragon statue at Grandli too!
I do know that the Sacred Champions of the Gifted are that town's (and statue's) second owners, but for the life of me I can't remember which guild originally won the town way back last autumn during the big land auction. That guild disappeared from Grandli during the winter and the town was vacant for months, so it's great that it is starting to bustle with life & activity again! I haven't checked to see if Unity has a dragon statue there, but I did check Chaos and they don't. So as far as I know, this is the only town in all the shards that has one. (Old wintertime Grandli picture http://www.azuretwilight.com/gallery...m=13&pos=9click on the picture to enlarge it)

If I get the time during the weekend I'll try to get pictures up of the rest of the nominated plots that don't have a picture up yet, for all to enjoy. [:)]
