Default Bardic Gathering Songs from 7-18

((Here are the collected songs from the bardic Gathering...

I've left in some of the more amusing actions, or comments, made during the event within them.

---- Allon, the Opening Verses ----

Allon sings, the music background to his voice "Here we are all gathered, Together this day, Come here to listen, To learn, And some to say, "

Allon sings softly "So let us speak out our voices, Share stories to us dear, Or share sweet poetry, Or songs of love or of fear, "

Allon sings softly "Let us be together this day, In union of thought, Quiet as we each preform, That which words we wrought. "

Allon sings softly "So with these words, I'll step down from this stage, To let others be wordsmiths, In our day and age. "

Allon speaks the final verse of it all. "Let all our words be clear, Be heard unto all, For now is the time, For this Bardic Gathering Ball. "

    --------------

---- Levity and Trinsic, in a "Spring Duet" ----

Levity says, 'All of you, this is Trinsic Starsinger, who began these Bardics.'

Trinsic bows to the assembled company.

Levity says, 'He has come here tonight to sing with me.'

Levity says, '(( ooc he has given me permission to "puppet" him for this ))'

Frith-Rae smiles glad she wasn't going blind....

They take each other's hands, Levity humming a starting note.

Levity says, 'This is a Spring Duet often sung in my home town at Festivals.'

Frith-Rae gets comfortable and twitches her ear fins forward to the humming

Trinsic says, "What a long cold time it's been"

Trinsic says, "Walls of snow they hemmed us in"

Levity says, 'But soft the winds and warm the sun'

Levity says, 'Our time of ice and snow is done.'

Their voices join for the chorus: "Gone the stark and gone the bare"

    "Gone the frost from everywhere"

"here the lush and here the green"

"here are blossoms to be seen"

Trinsic says, "See the stallion with his mare"

Levity smiles widely. "Soon see colts that gambol there."

They join voices: "Nature tells us what to do.

    "Age old cycle, ever new."

The chorus begins again, Levity nodding to the audience to join in.

Gone the stark and gone the bare

    Gone the frost from everywhere

Here the lush and here the green

Here are blossoms to be seen

The tune is happy, springy ...

Trinsic sings, "Here are you" and Levity responds, "and here am I"

Together, they sing, "Sing our blessings to the sky"

Raise our hands to feel the breeze

    Dance amid the droning bees.

And once more the chorus rings out.

Gone the stark and gone the bare

    Gone the frost from everywhere

Allon sings "Gone the stark and gone the bare"

Allon sings "Gone the frost from everywhere."

They braid their voices with Allon's. "Here the lush and here the green

Here are flowers to be seen

Allon sings "Here the Lush and here the green"

Allon sings "here are flowers to be seen."

Levity says, 'Feel the joy and feel the love'

Levity says, 'Watch the birds that fly above'

Trinsic's tenor joins Levity's alto again. "With their flight our hearts take wing."

"Feel this gift the Goddess brings."

Levity says, 'Last chorus, all, then one more verse, everyone join'

Gone the stark and gone the bare

    Gone the frost from everywhere

Allon sings along "Gone the Stark and Gone the Bare."

Here the lush and here the green

Allon sings "Gone the frost from Everywhere."

Maneso harmonizes the three with a deep bass "Here the lush and here the green"

Here are blossoms to be seen

Allon sings "Here the Lush and here the Green.""

    Xerses hums along.

Frith-Rae joins her triple tenored voice to Allons singing the chorus

Allon sings "Here are Flowers to be seen."

Menkure sings "Here the blossoms to be seen"

The singers' voices rise to the end in joyful tones. "Braid the blossoms in our hair

    Dance together without care

Allon sings "Braid the blossoms with our scales."

The last line is drawn out sweetly. "Age old cycle, ever new."

    Levity and Trinsic bow.

    Default Sovirin's Story & Ashuran

    -- Sovirin's Story --

Sovirin This small, short story is just ONE withered scale I defeated, but to a cost of loosing an ancestors body, but also freeing the spirit, and so I wish for you to enjoy this story. *Smiles looks at his [<!--LI 9581852 787850>Ethereal Tablet<!--/LI>] were he wrote his story.

Sovirin *Looks up to the sky for a few seconds then lowers his head again toward the crowd* The Withered Scales, some say they are an abominations, some say it was just done through the Withered Aegis themselves through Necromancy. If some of you may not know hatchlings and newly gifted.

Sovirin Necromancy is magic that cannot be weilded by simple spells nor formulas. Necromancy is a magic that is gifted only unto darkness.

Ashuran makes absolutely no sound other than the rustle of scales as he crosses his forepaws before him again at listens.

Sovirin A Magic only gifted to true Chaotic Evil, only meant to Destroy. And so this small story is about the Withered Scales. Why where they here. And for what purpose you may ask? Only to destory from the summoner. *Looks at the sky once more* But who was it, who was behind such a plot?

Sovirin Also which this leads to the souce of events which I have followed by the Shadow Dragon, and our ancient home land of Draak.

Sovirin *Looks back at the crowd* And so when the Withered Aegis came to the Eastern Deadlands to salvage the remains of burried dragon that were laid to rest there. And so they used there blight magic, as well as Necromancy, to bring forth the undead dragons. *Looks over towards the side* And so for some of you they say it was a mockery, or an abomination.

Sovirin *Shakes his head* To me, they are OUR ancenstors.

Sovirin Some say it was another summon from the Withered Aegis, true, but did the Ancestors agree to this to let OUR future be in hands and grow up with the Shadow Dragon.

Sovirin *Looks at his paws* Still today, I am mourning of their death, as goes for the same for the Shadow Dragon. But of coarse, in order to become an adult we must slay the shadow dragon. So what is the aftermath of the Withered Scales. That is the Shadow Dragon.

Sovirin *Looks up* And so our lives our forever endulged with the shadow dragon. *Raises a claw pointing into the horizon toward the island of Draak* Our homeland, Draak, lost and then split into two legions of coarse. You all know. The lunus, and Helian.

Sovirin *Smiles as he closes his eyes and slowly speaks and speaks the tale of the day he slayed the one dragon* The day was already a dark and stormy night, a day when more dragons came into the world I look down as I see nothing but the black ground covered in nothing but ash.

Sovirin *Looks up to the sky* And as I look at the sky, the closer I come toward the field of the Western Deadlands, the sky begins to darken, the clouds move in, and sky begins turing into a small hurricane itself.

Sovirin *Scratches his ear fin but continues reading from his tablet* As I continue on my journey through the air. As I look down toward the area, I see not a human, nor elf, but otherwise, an Undead Dragon. *Sniffs* And so I can see that the Withered Aegis need to go to the Extreme.

Sovirin And...so, I think to my self *Looks down at the ground* Should I slay my own ancestor or leave it for others to suffer? I had no choice...I fly down toward the black ash ground landing softly and look at both an Intoxicated Dragon, as well as an Inherberated Dragon. *Looks up to the crowd of dragons.*

Sovirin As I look at both the dragons, as they seem simular, on the outside, I hear a cry from the inside of the Intoxicated dragon. *Looks at his paws once more* As I look at my paws and look back at the dragon I had no choice but to free my ancestor who was crying for help as he wanted to be free from the stakes of the Withered Aegis.

Sovirin Suddenly I charge, I attack without thinking of anything else but to free the dragon. While battling, I use my Ravage attack *Swipes the air with an example* The final blow was struck.

Sovirin As I look down at the ground and my paws *A red tear falls down toward the grown and looks at his paws* Again, was it right...well, there is only one way to find out. As I look up to the sky at the horizons the clouds still thundering, and dark, as I see a white reflection

Sovirin *Closes his eyes* As I look down a few inches, I see a spirit hovering not far from the ground. As he grins at me a tear flows down and he responds in only three words from the spirit of the dragon. "Die Zauber Flote" As I think to myself...was this mearly a riddle I have to figure out, would this free my ancestors from the Wraith of the Withered Aegis.

Sovirin As the spirit slowly heads up toward the sky a large thunder flashed across the sky as the flash faded. The spirit was gone. And so as the battle was conclusive the only remaining riddle. And so I found out later *Smiles happily* A song in the dragon tongue.

    Sovirin *Takes his Blighted Tablet*

Sovirin As I finally look at this tablet and wrote down the words the spirit told me: "Die Zauber Flote" As it says a spirit will be free and givin unto you with a reward. *Smiles* And so this reward was a Crystal.

Sovirin *Takes out the crystal and cracks the edge as a blinding light apears and strenght is added to his body* And so, this is the end of the story where the crystal is used to tell about that no matter the dragon is an abomination, it is a spirit of our ancestor that needs to be free....Thank you, for listening to the story. :3

    Sovirin smiles.

    -------------------------------------------------------

    ---------- Ahuran with a Short Song ---

Ashuran says, '...but as a warrior I know that one must allow one's spirit to rest and know beauty, or else be lost to the forces that fuel the Blight, for it needs but a crack to let the darkness in.'

Ashuran says, 'So... a short song.'

Ashuran rumbles, the rumble building to a loud thrum that seems to come from deep within his chest, deep enough to be felt in the lungs of all present.

added to this bass thrumming pitch is slowly his voice, almost more piping and melodious, the notes rolling off the roof of his mouth almost from his nasal region...

Ashuran says, '...Come fly with me, in the clear blue sky... let the light wind lift thy wings, soar to eternity...'

Ashuran says, 'Let it raise you to the realm where all is possible, where what could be is what can be, where what should be is what shall be...'

Ashuran says, 'All that is true and clere resides here.'

Ashuran 's song takes on more of a minor pitch, between sorrow and warning, as he continues...

Ashuran says, 'Do not sail down to the depths of the black, blighted sea... do not let its haunting winds mesmerize thee...'

Ashuran says, 'Do not allow it to drag thee to the mire of all the impossible dreams, where what could be cannot be, where what should be shall not be...'

Ashuran says, '.... all that is lost and forgotten languishes there.'

Ashuran 's upper voice trails off as his lower thrum slowly returns to its lighter pitch, the song softly ending.

    Default Chioxin and Levity

    ----------- Chioxin "Levity" -----

Chioxin says, 'Hehe. Alright, I've not named this poem at all. But you have greatly inspired it. Maybe I should call it "Levity." Anyhow! Here it goes.'

Levity leans back on Chioxin's arm, smiling up into his eyes.

Chioxin says, 'A gentle reminder of your sparkling eyes. '

Allon listens and smiles in enjoyment to the poem, leaning against Frith.

Chioxin looks to her and smiles, his own eyes shine with delight.

Chioxin says, 'Lay with me my love.'

Chioxin says, 'Lay in my wing.'

Chioxin says, 'Lay with me my love.'

Chioxin says, 'Lay and watch the moon above.'

Chioxin says, 'See how it never turns its face from us?'

Chioxin says, 'How it glides through the sea of stars on a destined path above?'

Chioxin says, 'It's calm light, brightens a lonely night.'

Levity's eyes shine at her beloved blue Dragon.

Chioxin says, 'Just as your love for me, warms my heart.'

Chioxin says, 'Lay with me my love.'

Chioxin says, 'Lay in my wing.'

Chioxin says, 'Lay with me my love.'

Chioxin says, 'Lay and watch the clouds above.'

Chioxin says, 'See how they cover the moon and stars above?'

Ashuran watches silently, his brow ridges hooding his eyes in something between perplexion and consternation...

Allon is reminded when he was young and with Naka so much of his life by seeing both of them.

Xerses feels nice and fuzzy insaide, laying his paw over saphire's paw.

Chioxin says, 'Yet still their edges shimmer with a silver lining.'

Chioxin says, 'That's them my love.'

Chioxin says, 'Reminding us, that they are still there for us.'

Chioxin says, 'Just like our love.'

Chioxin says, 'Still there for eachother.'

Levity squeezes one of his talons with her hand, smiling.

Chioxin says, 'Even when a cloud happens by, above.'

Allon nuzzles up to Frith, holding her paw with his as he listens.

Chioxin smiles and chirrs softly, he gives Levity a gentle hug with his arm. "And that concludes my poem, my most precious treasure."

Allon purrs and smiles "Beautiful..." He softly whispers and sueezes Frith's paw a little more.

Levity hugs his talon to her and beams. "I have one for you, too. If the company permits."

Sovirin claps his talons together. "Nice and cheeful" :)

Allon nods his head to Levity "Of course, of course."

Chioxin says, 'Oh really? *smiles and chirrs.*'

Frith-Rae smiles and nuzzles Allon in return

Levity stands again and faces Chioxin. "Just finished it today, in fact."

    ----- Levity "I am Flying"

Levity says, 'The title is, "I am Flying."'

Levity clears her throat and raises her voice to be heard, but her eyes are on Chioxin.

Levity says, 'I only got two feet to carry me'

Levity says, 'I got me just two hands to hold my load'

Chioxin smiles and his eyes do not stray from hers.

Levity says, 'I walk my way on dusty ground'

Levity says, 'But you got to know, I am flying'

Levity says, 'I can't swim the oceans deep'

Levity says, 'I can't climb the cliffs so high'

Levity says, 'I can't jump and never fall'

Levity says, 'But you are with me, so I fly.'

Levity says, 'When I'm working hard in the forge's heat'

    Levity says, 'I am flying'

Chioxin smiles and swishes his tail happily.

Levity says, 'When I'm hauling the ore so slow away'

    Levity says, 'I am flying'

Levity says, 'For you are with me in the hammer's beat'

Levity says, 'And I am flying'

Levity says, 'And you are the disk that lightens my way'

Chioxin chuckles with a sparkle in his eye.

Levity says, 'And I am flying'

    Levity grins back at him

Levity says, 'You are my heart by night and my joy by day'

Levity says, 'That's why I'm flying'

Levity says, 'Though my feet look mired in muck and clay'

Levity says, 'my soul lifts clean and high away'

Levity says, 'soaring free in endless light'

Levity says, 'every moment in joyous flight'

Levity says, 'I am free and I am flying.'

Chioxin his face scales turn a light shade of purple, a very soft chirr builds inside him.

Levity smiles and steps in to kiss Chioxin's nose. "Love you, hon."

---------- Draxxis "The Ballad of the Red Brood" ----

Draxxis says, '<!--color r=1 b=0 g=0> This has been called the Ballad of the Red Brood.'

Draxxis clears his throat, pausing a moment to take a deep breath. He speaks with a firm tone, in a range sliightly higher than he normally uses

Draxxis says, '<!--color r=1 b=0 g=0> You might have heard this tale, by fire's warmth and light.'

Draxxis says, '<!--color r=1 b=0 g=0> A legend from ages past, before this time of Blight.'

Draxxis says, '<!--color r=1 b=0 g=0> It speaks of six young dragons, all vermillion and gold'

Draxxis says, '<!--color r=1 b=0 g=0> The Red Brood they were called, or so it has been told.'

Levity is fascinated, Draxxis' words seeming to stand out more clearly than most's.

Draxxis says, '<!--color r=1 b=0 g=0> Loyal only to each other, they terroized the land.'

Draxxis says, '<!--color r=1 b=0 g=0> From their home in the mountains, to where the ocean meets the sand.'

Draxxis says, '<!--color r=1 b=0 g=0> The people gave them names, born out of simple fears'

Draxxis says, '<!--color r=1 b=0 g=0> The Fierce, Majestic, and Evil, were wise beyond their years.'

Draxxis says, '<!--color r=1 b=0 g=0> The merchants knew too well, of a dragon's endless greed.'

Draxxis speaks with utter confidence and passion

Draxxis says, '<!--color r=1 b=0 g=0> The Terrible, Powerful, and Mighty, were the three to lead.'

Draxxis says, '<!--color r=1 b=0 g=0> The Brood raided a castle, eager to fill their hoard.'

Draxxis says, '<!--color r=1 b=0 g=0> The King gave up his treasures, it was all he could afford.'

Draxxis says, '<!--color r=1 b=0 g=0> But the Mighty spied some flesh, that smelt so sweet and pure.'

Draxxis says, '<!--color r=1 b=0 g=0> It belonded to the King's daughters, of that much we are sure.'

Draxxis says, '<!--color r=1 b=0 g=0> Thus the Brood took the virgins, with a hungry lust to dine.'

Draxxis says, '<!--color r=1 b=0 g=0> And that night they feasted, drinking blood like it was wine.'

Allon thinks to himself "Do virgins taste better than those who are not?"

Draxxis says, '<!--color r=1 b=0 g=0> The Mighty King turned fierce and evil, filled with his terrible cause.'

Draxxis says, '<!--color r=1 b=0 g=0> He loosed his powerful army, who moved majestically without pause.'

Draxxis says, '<!--color r=1 b=0 g=0> The men reached the mountains, and suddenly the Brood pounced!'

Draxxis says, '<!--color r=1 b=0 g=0> Though the soldiers fought with valor, in the end they were trounced.'

Draxxis lowers his tone slightly, but speaks more dangerously

Draxxis says, '<!--color r=1 b=0 g=0> The King summoned a warrior, she was a Dragon Slayer.'

Draxxis says, '<!--color r=1 b=0 g=0> She tracked the Brood for weeks, until she reached their lair.'

Draxxis says, '<!--color r=1 b=0 g=0> She dealt them swift justice, using sword and shield.'

Draxxis says, '<!--color r=1 b=0 g=0> Despite the Brood's best tactics, the Slayer would not yeild.'

Draxxis stares intently at the hatchling before him

Chioxin actually smiles and looks with a bit of hope.

    Allon snorts and frowns lightly.

Draxxis says, '<!--color r=1 b=0 g=0> Her weapon shattered their scales, her armor chilled their breath.'

Anasfalis Strains forward caught up in the tale

Draxxis says, '<!--color r=1 b=0 g=0> One by one the dragons fell, embraced by bitter death.'

Draxxis turns to look at all as he speaks

Draxxis says, '<!--color r=1 b=0 g=0> The Mighty was the last to die, she quoted him to say.'

Draxxis says, '<!--color r=1 b=0 g=0> "Beware you foolish naka! I will return some day!"'

    Frith-Rae laughs and bugles approval

Levity applauds lustily. "Oh, well written, well sung!"

Allon nods softly and frowns "Such, a sad tail, but truly well said! You are, quite the wordsmith, Draxxis!"

Draxxis returns to his seat casually

    Default Allon "Ieo D'na Scov"

    ----- Allon "Ieo D'na Scov" ----

You say, 'One of my favorite series of the song... "Ieo D'na Scov" That I've preformed assorted times... but I've made new verses for it, tonight, to be unveiled.'

Frith-Rae is already nodding her head to the beat of the song she's already got stuck in her head

Allon hums lightly into a bouncy tune, bobbing his head, the music continuing into a tavernesqe melody.

Allon starts to sing, the humming music continuing on along with him.

You say, 'The lesson here I'm about to Tell,'

You say, 'Is about a Handsome Dragon!'

Chioxin chuckles and listens, tapping a paw gently atop Levity's legs to the tune.

You say, 'Who'd Walk and fly a lot each day,'

You say, 'And treasure he'd be Bagun,'

You say, 'For rich and wealth, '

You say, 'He was quite known, '

Allon sings "And the adventurers feared him sooooo!" Carrying out the last note.

You say, 'So one day they asked, '

You say, 'Would he be kind,'

You say, 'And carry for them some gold?'

You say, 'He just laughed and shook his head,'

You say, '"I'd take it for me self, you see,"'

    You say, 'Because.... '

You say, 'Ieo d'na scov! '

Allon sings into the Chorus, light, jaunty, and swaying to it.

You say, 'Is what the dragons say '

You say, 'Ieo d'na scov! '

You say, 'Don't try to feed them hay! '

You say, 'Ieo d'na scov! '

You say, 'So I'll just give you a clue, '

You say, 'Ieo d'na scov! '

You say, 'Means "I'm no horse" to you! '

Xerses bobs his head lightly from side to side to the rythm.

Frith-Rae giggles and continues to bob her head to the song

Allon hums and bounces as he goes into a next verse.

saphire sways her tail in the rythem of the song.

You say, 'Now one should know,'

You say, 'And one should see,'

Levity sings along quietly under her breath.

You say, 'A dragon drunk is not fair!'

You say, 'He's quite the Hazard,'

You say, 'And quite the bother,'

You say, 'And he might burn off your hair!'

You say, 'Though then of course, '

You say, 'You might just try,'

You say, 'And see about a ride,'

You say, 'But I wouldn't reccomend it, '

    You say, 'No indeed, '

You say, 'Because drunk dragons shouldn't fly!'

You say, 'And after all is said and done,'

You say, 'They'd come right to their sense,'

You say, 'And send you off for a drink,'

You say, 'Singing the while like this... '

Allon sings into the Chorus again, swaying to the music.

    You say, 'Ieo D'na Scov!'

You say, 'Is what the dragons say!'

    Chioxin Sings with Allon!

    You say, 'Ieo D'na Scov!'

You say, 'Don't try to feed them hay!'

Frith-Rae belts out the chorus too

    You say, 'Ieo D'na Scov!'

Levity laughs merrily as she sings along.

You say, 'So I'll just give you a clue!'

    You say, 'Ieo D'na Scov!'

You say, 'Means "I'm no Horse" to you!'

Allon bounces and sways, singing into the final verse before the final chorus.

You say, 'Now those elves I hear,'

You say, 'Are quite stuck up,'

You say, 'And they'd think themselves the Best,'

You say, 'But despite it all,'

    You say, 'Some are nice,'

You say, 'Yet they can still say quite the mess,'

You say, 'One day one asked his dragon friend,'

You say, 'They were good friends quite dear,'

You say, 'If he could chance to mount her,'

You say, 'Though the dragon her eyes went quite wide,'

You say, 'And she gasped and blushed in shame,'

You say, '"I called you friend? '

You say, 'Is this the way it must then end?"'

You say, 'And before she left him, '

    You say, 'And flew away,'

You say, 'This is what she said!'

Allon sings to the chorus again for a final time.

    You say, 'Everyone, join in!'

    You say, 'Ieo D'na Scov!'

You say, 'Is what the dragons say! '

Frith-Rae belts the chorus out with him, "Iea D'na Scov!"

You say, 'Ieo D'na Scov! '

Vanda purrs and nuzzles Swythe and then sings along with Allon.

Chioxin joins in with a booming voice to accompany!

You say, 'Don't Try to feed us Hay! '

    Sovirin says, 'Ieo D'na Scov!'

    You say, 'Ieo D'na Scov!'

You say, 'So I'll just give you a clue!'

    Ashuran bellows along...

    You say, 'Ieo D'na Scov!'

Levity harmonizes as she sings along.

Sovirin says, 'So I'll just give you a clue'

You say, 'Means "I'm no horse, to you!" '

Allon hums, the music finishing around with a flourish and he bows his head lightly.
