What is the Marketplace?

I've seen the Marketplace referred to in these forums, so can someone please enlighten me about the Marketplace and how I can access it. Thanks.

It is a chat tab that is moderated by a "bot" i.e. no player can boot anyone else from it.

Go to your chat window and right click on it, pick Properties, and check the "Primary Tab" box or whatever it is called to make that window the default chat window. Then go to the liitle speech balloon icon at the lower right of the window, click it for a list of chat groups. You can sort by number of people in the chat, which will normally put Market on top. Click to join, and you'll have a new tab that lets you listen in on and contribute to Market chatter.

Some folks feel it is for general banter, some for RP, some purely for buying and selling, but I think I've answered the question you specifically asked. Just watch it for an hour or so and you'll see what goes on there.
