((The following event is both reality and fictious. Both humorous nad informative. Yes, Grizzle took over the job as Vault keeper, yet not everything runs quite as smoothly as it seems to here. There were other patrons, other voices, other witnesses.Someparts may seem slightly exagerated, others may even feelleft out as their roles were changed entirely, but rest assured. If you truly witnessed the events that took place here, then you will know the real truth behind it, and realize your advantageas a witness over the supposedly important, reigning figures. Being a witness here is what matters, not what level you are at. And yes, its very long if anyone cares to read this stuff...))

For those few of you that were around Wednesday at about 11:15 West Coast time (Which would be 7:15 AM GMT the next day) in the small starter town of New Brommel, you may have seen how the usually evil vaultkeeper Sarah was replaced by a more lucrative and supportive Dragon who goes by the name Grizzle. Yes, Grizzle the Vaultkeeper took over the business of the vaults and what a business it became.

One would think that the Vaults are a simple place with no real drastic events. Yet the change in power that comes here seemed to have created a shift in the very natureof the citizens of New Brommel, as both permanent residents and visitors reacted to the change in power.

The day started out normal enough. I wanted to make a simple deposit, yet Sarah, the Vaultkeeper chose to flat out ignore me. I threatened with both my words and my hammer, yet she chose to stick to the rules and had me firmly escorted outside for disturbing the other patrons. While I made a sad attempt to boycott the Vault, Iwas assisted by two very unique characters. The first, Melian, told me that perhaps there was another alternative and volunteered tomake my withdrawl for me. I told him about my20 spools of flax that were sittingin my vault and he promised to get them for me. To mydismay, it turns out that a quartermaster had confiscated the spools in the name of the Empire and i was leftspool-less. While I was angered by the loss of my spools, I was convinced that they were still somewhere in the Vault, when my hero, Grizzle, decided that enough was enough. With a stirring speech, he ran into the vault and after a scream and flash of light, Sarah was replaced by Grizzle the Vaultkeeper.

Being the first one in as the takeover took place, I was greeted by an unusually friendly voice of a Dragon, "Will you be making a Deposit or a Withdrawl?" I was startled to say the least. What ever happened to the quiet and unpresuming Sarah that was the normal Vaultkeeper? Naturally, I wanted to make a simple withdrawl and get my flax spools, so Grizzle handed me a packet of papers to fill out. The paperwork was supposedly a necessary part of the new system which registered every new patron into the Vaults.

AsI answered the silly questionsasking my height and weight, (( And why would they need this informationwhen all I wanted was a simple withdrawl?)) in walked the wise and kindly Raveina. While she pitied my pile of paperwork, she happilydeposited her own few items before deciding that she wanted to check her entire vault. I was irked by two things. First of all, Raveina didn't seem to need to register as I did, but also her vault seemed to have been misplaced among the masses. Grizzle panicked and began searching vault after vault for the missing items, while Raveina insisted that it was no big deal. I was just finishing my paperwork when my pen died on me and leaked the rest of its ink all over the papers. 'That won't do.' commented Grizzle as he handed me a new packet of papers to fill out. As I complained about all the fine print, a young, aspiring alchemist and, if I may say so myself, rather handsome male Sarin named Dar walked in.

Raveina was still waiting for her missing objects as poor Grizzle was deathly afraid of getting fired. Yet the newest customer seemed to be in a bit of a rush and cut right in front of both of us, the Dragon and myself, to demand that Grizzle deposit a few choice items into his Vault before running off again. As Dar was running out of the Vault building, he almost ran over the next approaching customer, a brooding Sslik who always hanged around the Vault. The Sslikwent out of control over Dar'srudeness and rushed into the Vault screaming for everyone to hand over all their coins and Novian resources.

I barely had time to react before I found myself being held at knife point as the Vault was being robbed! Unfortunately for our would-be thief, there were two very addled Dragons in the room that disarmed him easily. Crying for swift justice, the poor Sslik spilled that he had a wife at home and too many kids with eggs already on the way. Everyone was very surprised by this news. Who knew that Sslik were defined as male and female? Who could tell the difference? What color was their blood? Unanswered questions were suddenly not so mysterious anymore. Finally calm, the assailant decided that he would much prefer to take a loan out of the bank instead. As he borrowed a quick 100 s from the Vaultkeeper, I looked down to notice that my paperwork had become torn and shredded in the struggle.

Frowning, Grizzle gave me a simpler registration form and asked that I please be more careful this time. Just as I figured out, the difference between vault key number and vault registration number, Grizzle received news that his Vaultkeeping skills were in high demand and he was being transferred to Parsinia. As he dashed off in a heroic flurry, all of the patrons turned back to see that Sarah was right there to take back the Vaultkeeping business with her usual quiet manner. I tried turning the forms in to her, but she wouldn't accept them at all. She chose to completly ignore me again asI stirred up a row as to how much paperwork I had gone through just to make a simple withdrawl. With no choice, I decided that I had to track down this Grizzle and turn in my paperwork so that I could finallyclear up this mess and get my flax spools.

Though the entire escapade only lasted about 20 minutes, the reign of Grizzle the Vaultkeeperwas supported by everyone. If you were one of the lucky characters that helped participate in this epic event, consider yourself lucky. As it is Grizzle is leaving us soon. It seems that Sarah's minionshave finally caught on to his trail and he will soon be but a fleeting memory. However, we must not give in.Sure Sarah may seem innocent with her quiet smile and all-business attitude, but her monopoly on the Vaults keeps everyone right under her thumb. Its during these times of peace, when the Withered Aegis seems at its weakest that we start turning on each other. Yet we must stand strong. Remember the good that Grizzle did for us and learn how to rise from your enslavement to the system and throw down your chains. Take over the vaults and recreate the system into the liking that you want it to be at. The future is in your hands my fellow players. This one goes out to Grizzle and all of those that supported his time in power.

((For those of you picky enough to care, no there was no point to this other than to congratulate those people that took an active part in Grizzle's time spent as the ad hoc Vaultkeeper. Our heartfelt thanks for helping to keep the storyline going when it sparked up with no real direction in mind. This is one of Grizzle's final acts as, sadly, he will be leaving us soon. Perhaps we can squeeze in another performance sometime soon! Watch for us, and be open to the thought of perhaps stepping out of character just once so you don't KILL EVERYTHING. If Siamis is reading this, I think she would agree that we know who Im talking about. [:(] He was cute, but about associal as an Undead Sarin. We'll get ya one next time k?? ))

In Memory of Grizzle

This is Tarris
((And im a female, Melian!!!))
