Framework problem

I have the following message.

The patching process has failed, please enure that:
1 You trust digitally signed content from Tulga Games.
2 You are an admin on your computer
3 You have the .Net framework 1.1 installed.


Error Name:TypeError
Error Message: Object doesn't support this properly or method
Extened Error Message: Failed Initializing .NET control.

I have downloaded all the updates and still get it. Anyone have any ideas?
I have framework 2.0 right now.
The framework help only says to download no instructions after that.

Do you have .net 1.1 installed? It isn't the same as 2.0

Thats what window updater loaded today there was no 1.1

Did the download, its a no go. Same message.

Does it matter that Im using some old game disk? Should I just do the trial download?

either should work, but the full download will give you the stand alone launcher, and another method to log in

Well, I uninstalled and tried the download twice now. About halfway through an error occures.

I guess its not meant to be.

I have everything I need at this point that I can think of. (1.1, activex) I still haven't recieved a reply from customer support maybe they have an idea what else to do.

Horizons doesn't like me

Tried the download one last time. Looks like at about 80mb I'm getting an error report. I give up at this point.

You can try the small install too, if your connection isn't reliable it'll take a while, leave it over night... but it'll get through it

Not sure why you weren't given 1.1 as an option to d/l in Windows Update. When I first reinstalled this machine, Windows Update listed both.

make sure you have cookies enabled for the hz webside and you dont have pop-ups blocked if you do it will not load the ocx controls from tulga and will cause the issues you are talking about

Well I ditched my disk and started the "small installer" I got past my problem spot. everything "looks" ok now. I won't know for a very long time as this download is taking its time.

I have no idea why this download is going as slow as it is, I have done similar sized DL in the past in easily half the time. (I'm just annoyed at this point )

Anyway, this better be good! lol, Its been over a year since I've played last.

Its because there is more overhead than anying in downloading thousands of tiny files, why the big download is way faster.
