Chaos down? I can't log in any of my characters

OK, game crashed while porting, can't log in any characters, game crashes at "receiving initial character position" for all my characters. Tried deleting all my world cashe, no help. Getting tired of all these game bugs [:@]

I had a similiar problem, the customer support guys suggested three steps.
1. Delete world cache.
2. Delete Clientprefs_graphics.def
3..... never had to go there. :)

Since that trouble report, whenever I've had a problem logging in I delete clientprefs_graphics.def and that takes care of the problem. When doing so, it takes my machine nearly 1 minute to delete a 9k file. I would guess that what happens is that the lock is actually a failure to right the endoffile marker...which would result in a hard lock, and then a lock on subsequent attempts to access that file.
