Though this probably should be put into the suggestion area, it fits here as well...
Not everyone hangs out in Marketplace, Dragon or New Player. I also know there was talk long ago of making a reverse Consignment (or some sort of thing).
How about a simple sign that sits outside, next to or near a NPC Consigner or Pawn Broker where players could list and or request items, though probably best restricted to resource items (bricks, bars, orbs, gems, stackable construction parts, etc). Along with the price, or price range you are willing to play.
Maybe even a seperate set of forum topics, one for Chaos, one for Order (and the gods willing, one for Unity) where players can list requests, even post location of silos, structures, plots etc that need work...
