i used the info from this thread: http://community.istaria.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=16292

and have been able to play on 2 puters with vista. a warning, tho - you will need to do the reboot ritual everytime you power off! so when you do get in, leave your puter on all the time, if you feel secure enough to do so - this will save a lot of wear and tear on your system due to the restarts.....

no it is not the ideal way to play, but until the fix comes, it is the only way for me and snake, at least.....

ps - make sure to not only read the entire thread thoroughly, but print it out for reference when performing the ceremony of vista enabling....

I occasionally crash to desktop with no warning or errors from HZ running on Vista. This happened last night and got the usual crash errors when trying to rerun the game. So left it for the night came back today, managed after a few reboots to get the game launching but now kicks me out (straight to desktop no warning/error) before tha load screen finishes. So removed the load screen, managed to take 4 steps but kicked again (at the same point as when the load screen was there)
No idea what is doing it but after being so happy to finally get past the startup crashing only to have the world crash out is really annoying.

i posted on the blight forum about this, but some of us are having port/recall probs when trying from new rachival.
i have been getting ctds when recalling to brist, but can't remember if that was from nr or not....

Are you using the blight client ? This happens often with that one, but rarely with live client.

I'm on Chaos. I managed to get around it somehow not sure whether it was logging on another character then going back or becuase I recalled to get out of Dalimond (too scared to go back there now).
It may not be place orientated though I've crashed to desktop several times over the last few days can't really place any cause behind it (other than maybe Vista).
