    The real problem with this idea is that then you end up with (potentially) land barons who own all the good plots. At present there are people who have a lot of subs. I have 3 of my own. Whilst I do have a lot of characters that I can play, generally I play one or two of 5 main ones.

    So, taking the plot ownership at $5 per (admittedly the cheapest example) I could spend my $45 per month on one gifted sub ($15) for my 5 characters and then 6 x plot subs ($30) and own 7 plots of land.

    It would not take long before all the best plots are snapped up. Additionally, there are people in game who have far more money that most other people and can easily outbid others in an auction.

    There are a lot of people who do not have lairs/plots now, and they are the ones who are less likely to have a load of ingame cash (Unitarians included, who have not had the last 12 months or so of building cash reserves, or at least not with their fully developed characters). Making plots cheaper (in RL terms) is only going to make things worse for those people.

    I think this was discussed at length before the new billing system was put in place, and it was generally agreed that the current way is fairest to all

    if you want another plot, get another sub.

    AFAIK financial status IS already carried over into the game.
    People with no job have more time (less money).
    Have more time to play Horizons (more in game money).

    See money buying as a way to even out. Support the poor in game

    I know someone who gets a full's day playing out of HZ, while for me I get Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday evenings due to school and work. They're far richer than me due to the time online, but I doubt they could afford to buy in-game money.

    I could buy money (though I don't think I want to right now *shrugs*), and it would possibly make things a little fairer... At least I could then afford vault IX and X. But I wouldn't want to buy in-game money anyways, and I think that there are some (not necessarily on HZ, but on lots of MMOs) who will take advantage of being rich IRL and turning that into being rich in-game... I think it's a good idea, but I don't support it.

    I think that would be a good idea, might attract some more players. even though I personally wouldnt use an item mall. That doesnt matter though, I dont have to use it just because I could

    I think veterans will quit who worked to get all the stuff they have and now its a hand out. ( assuming hte suggestion goes through.) Good way to make the old players mad ( probably not all but some) and lose players. I can hear the toilet flushing now as accounts go down he tubes.

    Hmm, not necesarely true. There are people without time Ã**nd without money, like a bad payed job and a family to take care of too. And there are people with both time and money.

    I dont think I would be less proud of something I achieved in the past just because someone was able to buy it for rl money if he decided so. Its just extra cool to have done something by yourself

    no, no, and no again:

    I remember the time, when I could not affort anything in RL (shared acc and pc with Flame e.g.) and could not make gifts to friends.
    It was a good feeling then (and still is^^) to give hoard to a hatchie or some gold to friends. Imagine the sadness:
    Hatchie: No thy- I`ve already got 25mio
    Friend: No thy, but want a Reclar scale?

    I think, it`s a question of solidarity too, that we ingame have equal conditions.

    i only support the RL things for RL items i think its a bad idea to use RL money for In game items... so i do not support it much only for RL items

    Virtrium! Hire someone to make merchandise so that Horizons players can give you more money to make this game even greater! Oh, and at the same time, get the name out there and advertise for you

    ok i wont buy ingame equipment for RL money and i would be annoyed if others could buy uber stuff or something that would give them a real advantage over other players

    HZ is too small to support gold farmer or item ebayers ^^

    i would pay for fluff (shoulder pet/another style of armor/statues on my plot/lair/golem following me ^^)

    and i would pay for a precious lair/plot (nothing uber compared to existing ones)
