Shard under maintenance?

I do not mean to sound like a bit of a fool but - I have literally been waiting for the entire day for the maintenance to end. Here I am six hours after waiting to log in and my characters are still marked as "Under maintenance"

I must ask - is this a bug? Or is it really taking that long?

Oh, this is normal. The really long maintenance days tend to last that: days. Your dev-given answer will likely be something along the lines of "Soon™".
