Dive/Stoop animation

so, i was realizing the other day, that my dragon looks awful weird descending rapidly with wings straight and level.

So i was wondering if it is be possible, engine-wise, to put in a stoop/dive animation that triggers while descending by holding the "move downwards" key while one is moving forwards, with the steepness of the stoop animation being determined by the angle of descent?

If this is possible, is it something we can ever expect to see? I realize it would be purely eye-candy, and thus not high on any list of priorities, but it would be absolutely awesome to dive down into drakul's heart from my lair and actually have it look like a proper dive...
