I'm still hopeful. A couple of cycles recently, Peaches has kindly posted the maintenance note, folks have wailed, and then the patch notes have gone up. Or, at worst, the patch has come in a day or two later.
So we could still have a patch, despite the preliminary maintenance notice.
Thank you, Peaches, for being so efficient at relaying the information. I hope to get home and find there is a patch after all :).

Nope. No patch. David told in IRC there was no patch this week.

Well then Tulga I would like to say thank you.
The past 3 weeks the blight patch notes have had some promising stuff in them. I had been trying to convince some of my friends who had gotten frustrated and left to come back, and they were considering it since there were a few changes they had been waiting for.
Last week the first set didn't go live and while no one was happy about it we let it slide because Amon followed it up with his message about patches going live every 2 weeks. Add to that last weeks blight patch notes also had more stuff we had been waiting for and everyone was psyched because they should have gone live today. But now we get no live patch and amon saying...oh, that wasn't a rule, just a guideline (or something like that). So, now the general murmur is....same old tulga crap, different day.
And at this point I would like to thank you from someone who has been really trying to get more folks in this game.
Add to that, when making changes/fixes/updates you either do them in logical grouping or a few at a time. What amon is proposing about doing them all at once. well lets just say thats not the brightest thing in the world to do. Why, its quite simple. In small logical batches when something blows up you have a good idea where to start your troubleshooting. When you do one massive dump, while being more "convenient" thats what leads to all day server downtimes while you try to figure out what blew up.

Once more, the cries of "release without testing!!!" are heard in the land. [;)]
Ponder this: the changes pushed to Blight yesterday are most likely being fast-tracked for roll to live on the 29th. There's also the ARoP, held back for some bug fixes. I would not be surprised if some additional portions of it were rolled out as well, but not mentioned by name, with yesterday's update. Rather than roll last week's Blight build live todayand yesterday's changes in two weeks, we may be seeing the wholeenchiladaon the 29th.

Perhaps this means that we will see the initial parts of the ARoP next week :) I know that as one of the people who had left quite a while ago and am just returning to see how things are going, this would be pretty cool :)

The changes that went to Blight the 9th would have been nice. True Grit and Promote Vitality ---> 30 minutes. The tech comp drop rate would have been even nicer, but is more likely to have had an unforeseen consequence. If that were the case, a partial push to live of the 3/9 Blight release would have been nice. More work though... Resource constraints?

Agreed a partial push would have been nice.
Chances are Klaus is right I'm guessing the whole suite of changes along with ARoP launch to be next tuesday.
Oh, wait, next Tuesday isn't April 1st is it?!?!?!?! [:O]
I doubt it. Seems to be a lag of several weeks between when patches hit Blight to when they go live. My guess is it will be at least another month before ANY new content goes live.
And probably another 3 months before ARoP goes live... if ever.

I'd prefer to wait on stuff and make sure it doesn't hose up something else rather than pushing to live
