Behold the radiant shoulder cow

I was swapping my shoulderpads and cow when somehow it created the appearance of a cow and shoulderpad on each shoulder and the textures of each seemed to blend. On one shoulder you see a normal cow on a "cowskin" shoulderpad, while on the other shoulder is a radiant shoulderpad with a radiant cow. I think the cowskin shoulderpad looks very nice... maybe they can incorporate it into halloween outfits for next year[;)].

If you go to Kion and look for the vault standing gnome aptly called "Fatty The Roast Beef" [:P] which is one of my alts, you'll see a shoulder cow.

It's an item to place in the shoulder slot which looks like a nice little cow with an hat.

Completely useless fluffbut it's fun to have.

It was a beta gift . I recieved one recently, and it really is a nifty item. Can't get them anymore unless players that leave the game give them away, or you have friends that no longer want them. They have a parrot, cow, and I cant remember what else.

Shoulder pets weren't a beta gift. They were gained by entering into the website the promotional codethat came with apreorder bonus CD.

I had a pre-order code. Unfortunately, I didn't get my shoulder buddy as my first (and still my main) character is a Dragon who can't use shoulder buddies. I didn't know this when I first started, so my promo code was sorta wasted. I think I was going to get a Cow too.

This bug's been around for a while, I remember having it happen way back when I found a few bonus disks for sale on Amazon.com. I'd have to log in to remember exactly how to recreate the glitch, but I think it happens when you equip a shoulderpad and a cow, then drag the equipped cow from one pad to the other. Whatever model the pad uses merges with the cow, and the texture is skinned across the pad and cow. Pretty freaking cool.[Y]

No, only shoulder pets that were available during beta was a maggot and only during one build I believe.

As PJ said, they were a pre-order bonus CD code promotion for those who pre-ordered Horizons. Some retailers ended up with excess bonus CDs afterward though and they were still purchasable well after release. I doubt there are anymore now though.
