    From the main Istaria website:

The following updates, additions, and changes have been applied to Chaos and Order on September, 27, 2005:

The Ancient Rite of Passage Concludes...

"Your time has arrived! Your destiny awaits you within the Rift. With your Rune of Teleportation in hand, call forth your spirit and embark upon the greatest adventure! Fulfill your destiny and join with your ancestors by unleashing your full potential: that of an Ancient dragon!"

The final chapters of the episodic quest series, "The Ancient Rite of Passage", is now available on the live shards. The Gatekeeper V'tierru, the Rift, the "ARoP - Ritual of Journey: Stars of Attunement", and your destiny await!

    New Trismus Gets a Facelift!

With a recent influx of new Gifted, the Imperial Council decided to allocate funding to the rebuilding and further exploration of the Island of New Trismus. The village has gotten a facelift, with old buildings torn down, and new ones built in their place. The Dryads have helped out by planting and encouraging the growth of new trees in and around the village. And the arrival of additional experts in both the tradeskills and adventurer fields have prompted a new age of discovery for the island!

Among the new discoveries are:[*]A vein of gemstones, Garnet, Malachite and Turquoise, has been discovered along the southwestern coast, and a previously unknown mine has been discovered and excavated by Gaeta the Miner. More recently, Reffis Ironforge, a Jeweler, has arrived and is working with Gaeta near the gem mine.[*]Schools of Minnow have been discovered off the western coast of the island, in the shallow waters near the Windmill.[*]The Imperial Council has authorized the import of a herd of cattle to the island as well as many chickens, to better assist the village with their dairy and culinary needs.[*]Elenna the Gatherer arrived to assist the village in their rebuilding efforts by harvesting and processing portions of the cedar forest at a much greater rate than the other trades could.[*]The Imperial Assessors have moved, with the blessing of the Imperial Council, to the island and have begun testing all new Gifted.[*]Three new adventurers have arrived to scout the New Trismus Deadlands. They include Ishenar the Druid, Allanti the Monk, and Braekhis the Spiritist.[*]Sand has been transported from the beaches to a more convenient location near the village.[*]Ghosts have been seen in and around the ruins of the smaller area of the New Trismus Deadlands. Not much to bring on really. 2 years of lobbying, hissing, moaning, squealing like an undomesticated can of cheesewiz on a Texan blonde and the damage done.

That won't solve your problems though. Taking stuff away from biped won't improve y'all any.

I hope that multicast to melee ability thing wasnt in the game long; as that would be a big exploit IMO. Well big as in it would be used by everyone.

Now I can see how some people got to where they are as fast as they did.

Big patch though... Now im gonna have to resub grumble grumble... Ancient looks too ******** cool...

Multicast didn't work with melee abilities, that's just boiler plate. Meaning "Whatever multicast and perfect spell used to do, now they only work with spells"

But what isinteresting, after some fooling around in the arena tonight,is that at the very least some abilities can still be multicast.

Rofl You tell em Phillip. LOL Too funny You are exactly right, whacking some biped abilities aint gonna make the lizards any better. I suspect ARoP won't be enough to make em any better'n yer average multi-classed biped.

Too long the dragons considered and treated biped as second class life-forms. Someday, we hope, they will wake up a realize that DRAGONS are the second class lifeforms, always have been, always will be.

Another good thing about this patch....with that stinkin ARoP finally done maybe we'll start seeing some patches that aren't Dragon this, dragon that, dragon the other damned thing...sheesh

    Kumu,

Multi-classed biped ARE NOT overpowered. Far from it. Perhaps you just don't know how to play your dragon to it's fullest capability. Using your failing as a player is not grounds to accuse multiclassing of being overpowered.

Or would rather do away with bipeds and multiclassing altogether and make this the Dragons(only) of Istaria. I suspect this is the case...

Excuse me folks, can we take the debate over multiclass is better then dragon or the you don't know how to play your class enough to another forums or at least it's own tread. Thanks for understanding that I don't need to read crap to find dicussion about topics refering to the patch.

I read the tread on the library .. altough I'm happy to see it make the release, I think you fell short of mking it real usefull. But anyway I migth build one for th ne look and in hope someday it be usefull. [*-)]

A question as I don't see mentionningin the listing and someone close to me told me solution would be in this release, the bug for the construction planning window ith the hedge troubles .. no mention of it been in this release. [:|]

Darn I read something about portal improvement and can't find it. I hope it works.. if I can't find the command I use to remove the load banner for portal, I be able to see. [:S]

One point to think about the multicast nerf. Before this patch only spell like abilitys like enhanced flame bolt, phonix rising ,... could be multicasted. Funny is that nearly all of this abilitys belong to schools that get the multicast abilitys by them self. What is a enhanced flame bolt & co? It is no a physical attack? It is not a spell? It can not be multicasted because it is not a spell. What is with fusion burn? What is with flame adept? What is with burn out? They are all spells only. Removing all of this makes most caster abilitys more to dump. Can not be teched, can not be used with dmg bosters. Why should they be used at all?
Breath accurancy ability is spells only. So breath is a spell? But it is listed as ability. Or is it a spell like ability?
On the other hand spells never got bonus of abilitys that say attacks only. Magic is no attack? Some stuff says physical attacks only. Others say attacks only. Next says magical attacks only. If there is no physical/magical definition shouldnt it be all attacks?

Actually just about every school that got some magic skill, gets spell like abilities, not just mage/conjurer/battlemage.

And the change (assuming it even happened as stated or is working correctly) doesn't effect flame adept, fusion burn, burnout, etc. The first is a passive boost, and the second and third are buffs, that never got multicasted to begin with and never could miss at all. So this change hardly makes them worthless.

Primarily the multicast change only effects a few things noticeably, because few were ever worth multicasting. Primarily Burning Archer, Phoenix Rising, Area Syphon.

Now the perfect spell change effects a lot more abilities, but the effect is minor if you actually have the appropriate amount of skill to begin with. When i use perfect spell and area spellbind, I hit say 10/10 mobs. When i don't perfect spell, i hit maybe 9/10, usually 10/10.No biggie.

But yeah the system of descripters and keywords TG uses to describe abilities, and bonuses on equipment (primarly blighted equipment) is extremely confusing, and nondescriptive. Don't try to figure it out using reason and logic, just test stuff and see what it does do.

Oh. Please not. The "'=" option always was handy to calculate a set price.
Insert the price on each item at create and at the end just klick "=". Done.
Make a notification at the end of trade:" you have to pay xxx. do you accept." This would stop "exploit" and keep it to the use it had be designed for.
